 I have a question for the pro's...

I started this journey I weighed 215 and I am now at 155.It has been 1 year since I have had the surgery.

Is that good weight loss? I am so afraid cause I feel I should have lost more.

I am till working at it. I have not been back to my Dr. yet. I am waiting for an app.I was not pleased the way this Dr.

never saw me but once after the surgery.

One more question how much are you eating after a year? From day one I always felt my pouch was not small enough but I try very hard on not acting on the hungry feel.

Thank you

It seems like a pretty good amount lost to me.  How much did you want to lose?  What was your goal weight?

By the time I was a year out, I was eating about a cup of food at a time, and eating five or six times a day.  What makes you think your pouch isn't small enough?  Did you ask your surgeon about that?

Why have you only seen your surgeon once since your surgery a year ago?  I would call today and make an appointment!

Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR.  If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor.  Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me.  If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her.    Check out my blog.

I am so sorry that you are feeling like this.   I personally would seek out anther doctor if you can to take you on as a patient.    I personally feel after care is EXTREMELY important...to guide you through this journeuy....tell you what to eat and when...do vitamin checks and blood work ups.   Not to mention support groups which I KNOW myself as a support group leader is SO IMPORTANT during our first year and more so after that.   I am over 8 yrs. post op  and I would venture to say I probably saw my surgeon at least 7 to 8 times that first year with at least 2 blood work ups to check my vitamin levels.   Depending on your height....your weight could be good as it is.    You are a "Lightweight".    Are you comfortable with your weight now?   I know at  1 yr. I couldn't eat a lot and at 8 yrs sometimes I can eat quite a bit but at others not so much...it depends on what I'm eating but I truly NEVER feel hungry.   I know I've heard some say that they do but usually not at a year post op.     I'd go get a florascope done to check the size of your stomach pouch and see what size it is.     Hope your taking your vitamins.    That is EXTREMELY important.    Good luck to you and if you feel your surgeon isn't giving you the care you need....seek out a different one.

Hugs and blessings ~~~~ Vivian
