I know everyone is different and all depends on exercise and stuff like that. Just curious about how many calories did you take in at 6 months post op and do you exercise or not??

At 6 months i was doing a couch 2 5K program and walking.

I was getting in 800-1000 calories.

My plan called for about 600 calories at that point, focusing on protein, then fats and then carbs.

I run every other day and on my off days except one (so 6 days a week) I work out for at least an hour a day on my arms, abs and basically ensure I am not using my running muscles on my 'off' days. I do not eat my exercise calories. Even if I have burned an extra 300, I stick with my limit. I am 8 months out. Even now as I train for a half marathon, I am not eating those calories burned via exercise.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I'm at 5 months and eating from 550-750 calories. Noticing I feel hungrier lately, but trying to figure out of this is head hunger, as it's winter, cold and dark, so spending more time indoors. I also started the Couch 2 5k so am getting more exercise.

From 3 months forward I was told to take in around 1200 calories. I jumped on that because I didn't want to risk damaging my metabolism. I don't, and haven't, eaten extra calories to compensate for exercise.

At six month, I was taking in 800 calories and working out with a trainer three times a week, doing yoga one other day, and hitting my building's gym once a week on the weekend.  I didn't up my calories on days when I worked out.

At 6 months post op for myself, I was consuming about 500-600 calories a day. I do not actively exercise, but I am a single mother, and a very busy one at that, so needless to say I get plenty of exercise in ways other than aerobics, jogging ect.
