I just bought a ticket to go SKYDIVING!!  Me and my friends are going to go this spring.  It is my reward to myself for losing weight.  Weight limit is 235 lbs and i am 230 lbs now so i am UNDER the limit!  YAY!!  We bought our tickets just now on Groupon for 50% off and they are good for one year so we are looking to go like in May when its a little warmer!   By May I will probably be down even more weight.  it feels so good to not be restricted because of my weight. Has anyone ever been skydiving before?  How was it?

I could not stomach jumping out of a plane, but I'm looking forward to being able to do a free fall simulator with the giant fan. My coworker skydives and he loves it. He recently completed his requirements to jump solo.

Yay for you on becoming unlimited!

I know that I am going to be terrified!  But I gotta do it!  So excited!

Holy cow! I'm kinda terrified for you....but also EXTREMELY excited for you! I'm such a WIMP (refraining from saying the V-A-G word), but I think skydiving would be one of those therapeutic things for me.  Not only because it would be one of the things I can experience now after weightloss, but  because I think it would help me conquer some of those 'fear of heights/free-falling' things.  Weird...I can ride ANY roller coaster, but I just can't do the free-fall things.  You better keep us posted! I wish I could go with! ;)

I will definitely post pics afterwards!  I'm so afraid that I will chicken out but once you are up there they make you go which is what i need!  :)  I think it will be a total rush!

I'm with you... I will take on any rollercoaster out there, but I do NOT do free fall!  I did it once at Six Flags over Texas and it scared the crap out of me.

14 years out; 190 pounds lost, 165 pound loss maintained

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

It is SOOOOO exciting! Once you get on the ground your adrenalin will be off the chart. Get the video. I wish I had purchased it.

Have fun

I've been skydiving, bungee jumping, whitewater rafting, trike flying, and zip lining.

Skydiving was one of the scarier activities (before you jump) but once you're strapped to the instructor, there's no going back -- so I just went with it! I was not scared at all once I was in the freefall.

It was AMAZING! I plan on going again one of these days. But I will never do a solo jump. LOL

P.S. Wear a nose plug and ear plugs. One thing I remember is the air rushing up my nose -- kinda like how it feels when you're swimming and you ge****er up your nose.
