Did you reward yourself? I did... feeling guilty.

Nothing wrong at all for rewarding yourself.  If you can afford it on the outfit, more power to you.  Everyone should reward themselves for the milestones.  Just don't do it with food ;)

OOOH!  Congrats! You should not feel guilty.  Do you not give gifts to friends?  Why would you not gift yourself with a nice pair of jeans and sweater?  You have worked hard, and if it looks fabulous on you then it is a good deal.

In "Sex and the Single Girl" the author notes that we shouldnt buy ugly clothes just because they are inexpensive.  That is a waste of money because one will not wear it or will not feel there best WHEN wearing it.

So your fab outfit will get a lot of miles out of the closet I believe.

Recently I bought atlantic tuna from spain for $4.20 a CAN.  I was unhappy that I spent that amount.  SHe pointed out that I USED to go to Starbucks (had ot give that up per surgeon) and spend 5-6 bucks on a latte.  So how is this more nutritious can of tuna WORSE than that.  I took a bad habit and replaced it with something better.

I think the new outfit will also keep you motivated to stay beneath/at goal. You will want to wear it because it is fabulous.

So No guilt!  You dont have time for it!  You are too busy going out in that fabulous outfit.

Congratulations on hitting your goal, Sherrie!  Can't wait to get there myself and look forward to doing some shopping too.  Our resources here in Alaska are still pretty limited and i don't really want to shop online for everything, though I have bought a couple things. So I am planning on a Seattle trip with a friend or two when I get to goal.  :)

I think it is great.  As long as I can afford that - and I still have money for bills and good food and vitamins - why not?  I would not spend that money on one pair of jeans -  but I would spend that and more on massages and facials...

So funny... I can't justify massages and facials - because they don't "last" - but pricey clothes, shoes and purses get many uses!!

I think it is wonderful. Congratulations:-) My husband bought me a wonderful pair of black leather boots. As for the money, I am not a jeans girl, but I could easily spend that amount on shoes:-)

You should NOT feel guilty. It's awesome that you've reached your goal and you've totally earned it. Plus, just think how hard you'll work to continue to fit into those expensive, cute jeans!

I reward myself at intervals. I got a tattoo added onto when I hit -75lbs. I got red streaks in my hair at -50 and posted pictures of myself on another forum I frequent. At -100 I'm getting an owl on my shoulder.

I also occasionally do tiny rewards for little victories along the way. For example, when I go to the gym a certain number of times I might get a new gym bag or a new set of pens. Or when I lose a size, I might get a trip to the thrift store to splurge.

When I hit whatever weight I'm planning on staying at, I'll be doing a lot of shopping. I'm doing thrift-store and clearance clothes along the way, but I'm buying nice, cute things once I'm ready for maintenance.

I have no guilt for what I have bought because I could afford them and needed them. I did go to Goodwill on a sale day, looking for other stuff, and walked out with 28.00 worth of sweaters and a pair of jeans..6 or 7 items!  Some of it was too small at the time but they fit now and have turned out to be some of my favorite clothes.  They were nicer items to begin with and I now forget they were 2nd hand.  Goodwill wins and we do too when we buy there.  You might want to check it out and I'll bet you will find popular brands at pennies instead of $$$$$s.
