How soon after RNY did you eat Brussels Sprouts?

The day I hit 90 days out, which was when I was told I could add them back. I love, love, love them! I was raised on them. I would bet I have literally had a truckload of them in my life.
My favorite is to simmer with sea salt, fresh garlic, ginger and chicken broth in a pan until bite tender and then heated to caramelize the flat side (I cut them in half first) and served just like that. No cheese, No bacon. No 'gunk' of any kind. Just the amazing marriage of pure, simple flavors and oh....how I love them.
Now I can only eat one full sprout (two halves) but I enjoy the very heck out of them and one day I'll be able to get my protein and TWO full sprouts. My children LOVE them. Their dad, not so much, lol!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
Roasted, they are nutty flavored, crispy and just plain great! Roasting with olive oil is makes the best tasting veggies...carrots, turnips, potatoes, beets, and, yes, Brussels sprouts! Then throw leftovers in the blender with some broth and you have a world class soup!
i hope they will be in my future!
Who knew Brussels sprouts were so contentious! Lol! Love 'em or hate 'em - there doesn't seem to be an in between :) I am marking my calendar for 3 months post opp and I am gonna cook up two Brussels sprouts! That's four halves! And I am gonna enjoy them [in the privacy of my own home in case there is an issue] - thanks for the input, all!
They do not bother me at all (even gas, oddly enough). But, I only tried them at about 14 months out. I made some the other night. I trimmed the ends, sliced them in half, put them in a ziploc bag and tossed them in light olive oil, seasoned them with some "Slap Ya Mama" seasoning and OMG I WAS IN BRUSSEL SPROUTS HEAVEN!!!!!!
Even my husband who eats NOTHING green liked them. My 15 and 17 year old tried them and even said they were "ok".
Edited to say: Oh Yeah! I baked them in the oven :)
About 2 weeks post-op. My plan was different than many. They are one of my favorite veggies and I still eat them fairly often. They caused me no problem, but most things never caused me problems. Beef roast and scrambled eggs are the only iffy I've had and I still have to be careful with them.

Nothing bothers my pouch either :( To my detriment lol. I mean, not that I want problems, but I do wish I had a bit of restriction. So far I have had egg whites, scrambled eggs, egg salad, canned tuna fish, tuna tartar, seared tuna, chicken breast, turkey, ground turkey, turkey bacon, and a bit of bacon. I am still on 100% lean protein. I will start incorporating a bite or two of veggies in the next few weeks. One issue is that I cook for one...so when I make something it's like six meals worth! So if I make a protein and a veggie, that would be about 12 meals of the same food lol!
