I'm staying as far away from the Grammys as possible. I find the award shows to be so depressing. Just so phony. Those women set an impossibly high standard for women to try to emulate.

Your posts inspire me, DCGirl! BTW I'm a DC girl too, born and raised. I live in northern Virginia now.

Whenever I get on OH - & especially when I read your posts - I go make myself a protein shake like I used to drink when I was immediately post-op (I'm coming up on 2 years). Or I make myself a cup of Unjury chicken soup which I absolutely adore.

Just wanted to say thanks for being an inspiration. Oh, And good for you getting a walk in! With this cold weather and snow, I've had NO decent exercise for at least 3 weeks. Feeling blobby.

Hi Goddessgrrl! So excited to have a neighbor on here :) I live in Adams Morgan and work in Chinatown. I used to commute to Herndon for work so I know NoVa a little too :) I hear ya on this cold-I mean, my friends and I took a pic on our walk and we looked like bedouins with our scarfs and hoods! It was bitter out there.

I would love to be done with shakes but I'm seeing that they're a necessary evil for me, to get all my protein in. I can see why you are re-incorporating them after two years. Are you still able to keep up maintaining this far out? At six weeks I am seeing awesome results but I'm well aware that my hair will soon start to fall out and then I will find food more appealing as months and years go by. I feel soo dedicated and confident I can stick with this, but no one can tell the future :)

Anyway, I'm thrilled that you find these posts inspiring! Feel free to share your two year post op diet with us newbies!

Stay warm!

DCgirl,

It sounds like you are doing decent physical activity for so soon post op so I would talk to your doctor about if they have any calorie goals for you. At two months my Doctor upped my calorie goal to 1000 to 1200 because of activity and I have while lost slowly havent had a ton of stalls since the change but I think each doctors plan and each persons body is different.

Breakfast: egg and 1/2 a slice dry raison toast

S - Cheese string

L - protein shake

S - 7 crunchmaster crackers with 1/2 small avocado

D - banana and single serve almond butter packet

Still just not feeling solid food again, hope I feel better soon as my diet has lack heartiness the last few days.

Warning!  -  I have discovered some big calorie and protein discrepancies when entering food in MyFitnessPal.  You may want to make sure that the item you choose is verified by some members, or even check it yourself against the USDA nutritional database sometimes, if it doesn't look right.

Makes me wonder how many times in the past that I've entered stuff that is wrong.
