Reached my goal long ago and only visited oh once in awhile. Started working and the hours are long. I know I'm not the only one who is working and dealing with the problem of remembering to take all the vitamins. But I have to share my stupidity! I got so busy with work and home that I only took my 2 calcium and 1 multi in the morning. Friday I had an extremely stressful day at work then Saturday the water heater went out! More stress by Monday I couldn't even function. Leg cramps bones hurting and very lethargic. Could not get out of bed. Slept all day and night. Woke this morning still exhausted but realized how stupid I've been. Not invincible! !! Just trying to adjust to having to work and take all these vitamins. Set an alarm on the calendar at work -I am determined not forget and feel like this ever again.

Not taking your supplements is a bad idea and bad habit. But you won't feel run down the way you have without being wayyy behind. Vitamin deficiency just doesn't work that way.

THANK YOU!!!!    I see this so often on here, how people get tingling if they miss a B12 sublingual, they're tired if they forget a multivitamin ...  I wish some of our self appointed gurus (who people seem to trust) would put some truth out there on this now and then!

OP - unless you have not taken your vitamins and calcium for a looooong time, these symptoms are probably a flu or something.   Deficiencies would take months or even years to get to a stage where you would be feeling these symptoms.

If you are feeling overwhelmed by life and it is have an impact on your physical health, I really encourage you to see a counselor/therapist. Months of missing vitamins might cause what you describe, but a few days? That is not how it works.

Please don't look for an easy Band-Aid response for a chronic broken bone issue.

While I am very glad you are determined to be on track with your vitamins from here on out, there is something bigger/deeper at work here.

Any chance you could be pregnant? You have the same overall complaints as I did in the early stages of my first trimester, especially the leg pain and sleeping!

Hugs to you!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

Thanks Lora,

Its been a little over 4 months since I started work however I was only taking half of what the doctor recommended at that time an my blood work looked good in Augusts. Then in Sept I really just started sliding only taking my morning vitamins and since I really didn't notice any lows in energy I thought I was fine and didn't need to take all the amounts the dr said. I am due in June for blood work again. But I know that the lack of multi's and calcium and iron have taken a toll on me for the last four plus months. Cramps in my legs lethargic extremely tired.

Firstly, good for you for usually staying on top of your supplements. I would have to agree with prior posters, though, that your symptoms aren't likely to due to a deficiency, it's just too soon.  Unfortunately deficiencies are much more subtle, and slow- but all the same, keep up the diligence -
