From Can****o Cleaning Out My Closet to LOVING Sardines
All I can say it "WOW"!
I was so nervous about traveling to Cancun for spring break, I worried for nothing! I took all my vitamins, found good stuff to eat, walked everyday for and hour or more and LOST 5 whole pounds!!!!!!!! ( first time ever doing THAT on vacay!) LOL
Last night I went through my closet and filled my dining room table with piles of clothes that no longer fit me! I was NOT sad at all to say good buy to those size 20 pants..... ( They were way too tight at my highest weight, but I REFUSED to go up another size! )
After work I am dropping everything off at a consignment shop! Hopefully, I can make a few bucks off my plus size wear!
My new go to food-SARDINES, loaded with protein, just the right serving, and loads of other fabulous vitamins and minerals! Who knew? Down side I have to eat lunch by myself! LOL Not so well received in the stuffy Teacher's Lounge! I have been eating them for breakfast and lunch! LOVE THEM!!!!!
Sunday I will see most of my family. Most have not seen me since my surgery.
I am down over 50 pounds and people at work have really began to noticed. I didn't keep it a secret. They all know I had WLS. Today I am wearing a fancy pair of bling bling jeans- SIZE 16....
Bottom Line;
I feel awesome and I feel so happy! Life is much better without the extra burden of the weight physically and for sure mentally!
Thanks for letting me share with all of you! I have been on this board for over a year now- lurking mostly until my surgery. Your stories and posts have really been helpful throughout this entire process.
Today I am 16 weeks out!
Amazing! What a testimony! I am happy for you.
“Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.”― Marc Hack

Alton Brown swears by sardines for his stellar weight loss. I use this recipe as inspiration -- http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/sherried-sard ine-toast-recipe.html -- I've smooshed sardines up with lemon balsamic and a teaspoon of guac. Yum!

I'm still trying to figure out which brand I like best of the ones my store offers. Do you have a favorite brand?

Thanks! I'll look to see if I've got that brand here.
