The only way I hit that protein number is by replacing meals with the protein shakes.  I get the premier protein at costco.  The chia bar was a snack size bar from Sprouts, so we'll see if it's any good later :)  My protein numbers have not been great lately (like 55 and 60) and my weight loss has slowed down, so I"m super motivated to try and kick my protein numbers way up so I can start seeing some movement on the scale.  It's my experiment based on everything I've read here, so hopefully it works!

Beautiful day here in Illinois! B 1/2c steel cut oats with nuts and 1/2banana with peanut butter L 1/2c tuna salad and 1/2 c Greek yogurt S whole grain crackers with peanut butter( hubby is sure I will turn into a peanut soon!) I was told by my dietitian to add it for protein and good fats. I am 19 months out and way below goal at the bottom of a normal bmi. If not careful to get my food in I go even lower! Who ever thought I would have this problem! D lean pork chop and steamed broccoli S 3/4 c Greek yogurt with nuts. On track with fluids and vitamins. I already rode my bike for 20 minutes and will walk 2+ miles after an appointment at 1. Have a great day everyone!

That is so awesome!  I actually work with a girl who is getting up at 5 to have her hair and make-up done and is having her engagement pics done at sunrise by the cherry blossoms!  Your pics will be amazing - please share them with us?

Who is her hair and makeup gal?  I couldnt find anyone who was willing to get up at 5!!!  I am doing the same thing as her but I am getting my hair done tonight and then doing my own makeup in the morning (courtesey of a lessone from Ulta).

I would really like the name of her artist for my girls for my wedding!

Please share!

Oh, I miss DC, I did my undergrad at GW but it's been a couple YEARS since I've been down to visit - enjoy those blossoms for all of us!

3 weeks, 3 days post-op - in my programs purees phase

B: 1/3 cup Egg Beaters with 1 tablespoon LF mexican blend cheese

S: Lemon Tea Nectar protein shake

L: 1/4 cup FF refried beans, 1 tablespoon LF mexican blend cheese, 1ish teaspoon FF plain greek yogurt

S: Roadside Lemonade Nectar protein shake with one 4C 2go lemonade stick

D: I still can't decide! Chicken salad? Cottage cheese? Ricotta cheese? I've been wanting egg salad, but I managed to leave the eggs I paid for at the grocery store yesterday and by the time I realized it there was no way I was schlepping all the way back to the store in rush hour.

S: Chocolate truffle Nectar protein shake made with 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 tablespoon SF chocolate pudding mix, 1 tablespoon SF syrup - I got a new one at Homegoods the other day - Salted Caramel, hopefully it will be good. PS. Did you know you can find SF syrups at Homegoods for like $3.99?! It's a great deal.

I'm still having a super hard time getting liquids in so I'm only going to be around 45oz unless I can really step it up this afternoon.

You are kicking ass on protein! How I remember those weeks after surgery and having my choices be ricotta cheese or egg beaters lol. I promise it gets better :) I can eat anything (well I only really eat protein) but I mean when I go to a restaurant I look "normal". We were at Jaleo last night (did you ever go there? 7th and D) and I had some cheese and a few shrimp and even 2 bites of cauliflower :)

DC is gorgeous this time of year. I normally hate the swampy summer but maybe being lighter I won't sweat as much ;)

Wow your menu looks scrumptious! I love seeing how people eat a few years out from surgery. You're obviously sticking to plan quite well. A definite inspiration :)
