How long?

I gained over 12 pounds during a recent stay at the hospital from ivs.  How long does ir take to lose it?

I am 4 days out from the stay and on water pills that the dr prescribed.  I don't seem to eliminate anything extra.  So depressed because i feel like I lost my goals.    I drink as much as I can but nothing seems to get me back to where I was.  Plus tomorrow I'll get more IV fluid during my scope for a stricture.  It has set me back to only losing 9 pounds in 6 weeks.  Very sad

12 lbs is not the end of the world, nor does it make you a failure. You've been sick, in the hospital, your body has been pumped with meds. Give yourself some time, and just follow your plan. You know if you follow your plan that the weight will come off. Give it time and be kind to yourself.
