You might want to track your BMI!
Reading someone else's post just made me realize something.
Day of surgery I had a BMI of 60. That would be super morbidly obese.
Today I have a BMI of 38. That would be obese.
I didn't even realize I had left the realm of super morbidly obese and gone to morbidly obese, and I didn't realize I had joined the ranks of regular, plain ole obese!
I think many of us get caught up in watching the scale move (or not move...as mine is doing right now grrrr) and we forget to see the forest through the trees.
So while you freak out about the scale (as you will, and I will, and we all will) - try to keep things like this in mind :)
My PSA for today! LOL
ABSI is actually a better guage than BMI:

Hi em, 36.6 here!
checked it last week, and was excited that I'm no longer super obese. Can't wait to be just plain old overweight!
by the way, your six month labs were due, hope they are good. My pre-albumin is still an 8, holy crap. Gotta keep increasing my protein. Iron low too. Ugh!
hope your doing well
renee
Hey Renee! Strangely, I had a 5 month check-up and my doc doesn't do labs until a year out. I feel great (other than NOT sleeping - seriously awake at 6 am everyday for no reason) so I guess I shouldn't be worried. I don't take iron - he didn't tell me to. I think I will just keep on trucking unless I think there is a problem.
I am doing well - Onederland is in sight (Kinda) like as in maybe by my brother's wedding in September. So that's exciting. My mom is coming this weekend and will be ecstatic when she sees me. Congrats on being obese! I always crack up at the things we celebrate on OH - being obese, pooping, etc :) LOL!
