Weight Gain

Hey All, 

I'm 25 months post RNY. In the past month, I've gained 8lbs, 3lbs in one week. Now the humidity is so bad, I can't move my ring. I've also started walking 2.8 mi in 45 min. I started this about 3 weeks ago and the terrain varies. I walk atleast 3 times a week. I lost most of my muscle tone from spending December to June mostly in bed die to a car accident in surgeries. Do you think these 8lbs could be a combo of muscle mass & water weight or do you think I'm heading down a slippery slope?  Be honest, I can take it 😁. My pants still fit fine

Well - it is hard to say. How is your eating?  You mentioned your exercise but not your eating habits.

I certainly would not freak out.. but get back on track. 8 pounds of regain is easier to lose than 10-15-20...see? So I wouldn't worry about IF it is a slippery slope- and just make sure you don't slide down.

Really hydrate and I bet you will lose a few pounds quick.  Cut out the carbs and keep your chin up!!

Well said Sherrie. Stay to the basics like when we first began this process. I find the my fitness pal good tracker keeps me honest about what I am consuming. You are taking affirmative steps to move & exercise. Bravo!!! Try not to get discouraged. This a lifestyle change defined by the choices we make daily. I tend to beat myself up (thought-wise) but I find it counterproductive. Continue to make good choices! Good Luck

Thanks Ladies,

i have gone back to my fitness pal and was able to drop 5 of the 8lbs. I'm back in that 3lb comfort area. The app really helped me get back on track with my eating and the map my walk app kept me honest about Calories burned. I just had a minor panic but all seems well, I think I just needed a little encouragement.
