Considering RNY... got questions???

I went to the informational meeting, orientation is 8/11/14. I am 5'4" female, age 57 with weight of 238. I am interested in the RNY. Can anyone tell me the advantages of this one as compared to the gastric sleeve? Also, what is this calorie metalabsorbic in the intestines? Any suggestions or advice is very appreciated.
