I am five weeks out and have been at a 23 pound loss for 2 1/2 weeks.  Seems like should have lost more????  Have lost 15.5 inches. What did you loose at this point?  I am getting 90g protein a day, drinking 64 oz. of water, and shooting for 10,000 steps a day.

So you've lost an average of nearly five pounds per week?  And you think you should have lost more?  How many pounds per week were you expecting to lose?

I am not unhappy, just wondering what the norm is.

According to my surgeon, it's three to five pounds per week.  But I think it really varies greatly depending on how much you have to lose.

I am 5 weeks out also and have only lost 20 pounds in 5 weeks. I would be ecstatic with 23 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks.  I am struggling to get 64oz including my smoothie and never get 90g of protein. Would love to hear your menu for a day and how you get it all in. Good Luck!

I do a shake that consists of 8 oz. skim, 6 oz. coffee, 1 premier remade shake, and a scoop of powder that is 30g protein.  I do not drink it all at one time, I go back to it throughout the day.

Fir breakfast I have 2 oz. oatmeal made with double protein milk and 1 oz. homemade applesauce.

Lunch is usually 1 oz chicken salad, 1 oz. cheese, and a couple saltines.

Dinner is 2 oz whatever protein we are having and an oz. of veg.

I usually have a sugar free Popsicle for a snack.

That at puts me close to 100

i also drink about 48 oz. of Crystal Light a day.  I am working to up that.

I don't think I lost that much after 5 weeks, and we can't really compare our personal loss to others. We all lose and stall at different rates. My only advice is to keep following your surgeons plan, get your water and protein in, and try to do some form of activity every day and you will continue to lose. You will encounter stalls, which can be frustrating, but necessary for your body to adjust to the rapid change. Hang in there!

I felt the same way in the beginning. It seemed like everyone's posts made it sound like they were losing faster than me. Now I'm almost at the six month mark and have lost over 60 of my 102 pounds that I want to lose. I couldn't be happier with my progress, and it this surgery has changed my life. Be patient and follow your plan. It sounds like you're doing great!
