These look so yummy !! I think it's a great idea to find something you can adjust to very little sugar/ carbs and so on ..That you love ! I wouldnt make them all the time but they are an awesome creation for holidays and such if you are gonna have company over , that way you can still feel like you are 'fitting in'with everyone else and having a little piece of heaven along with your guests . Good luck with everything :))

It sounds delicious, but I would encourage you to consider whether, given that you identify eating full sugar sweets as one of the reasons for your regain, eating sweets (even made with Splenda or whatever) is a good idea.

Generally, the only way to slay the sugar/carb monster is to eliminate the sugar/carbs entirely until you can control the impulses... Your brain will continue to crave sweets if you continue to feed it sweets, even if they are in a more diet friendly form.

I think they look delicious. I think it is important to have go-to recipes that are special. I would save these for company or to bring up a party. I could not be trusted at home alone with these. LOL. Thanks for sharing

I agree with NY MOM---these would be great to take OUT of the house...that way you KNOW there would be something special for YOU, at a party...and I bet there would be plenty other people, at the parties, who would appreciate the also...

I have a couple of SF/reduced sugar/fat desserts I make, for the holidays...Family and friends have learned to EXPECT them, and now even LOOK FORWARD to them...there's never any left!

As a long time vet...and one who has had a roller coaster journey of major regain/reloss/regain/reloss, on my many year struggle to goal/maintenance, I beg you to be VERY careful with whatever TRIGGER foods you keep around you

Have you tried the low carb cream cheese clouds:

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granular Splenda (or sweetener of choice)
1/2 tsp vanilla (I used 1/4 tsp lemon and 1/4 tsp vanilla)

Beat everything with an electric mixer until fluffy.  Drop by bite-size spoonfuls onto a wax paper-lined baking sheet to make 24 clouds.  (or spoon into sandwich bag, cut the tip off to make a pastry bag)  Freeze until firm, at least 1 hour.  Store in the freezer and eat them frozen.....you can make variation such as pumpkin, mocha...etc.

Per 2 Clouds: 134 Calories; 14g Fat; 2g Protein; .5g Carbohydrate; 0g Dietary Fiber; .5g Net Carbs

Not sure if you've noticed a pattern in responses you've received here?

The majority of people saying "be careful", "not for me, I know my limits", etc. are all from long(er) term vets who have been there, done that. The vast majority of people giving you encouragement to go ahead and try these are from pre-ops and new(er) post-ops.

Coincidence - I don't think so.

Yep.  I thought the exact same thing.  You have to change your relationship with food if you expect to have different results.  To each his own.  For me, no sweet bite compares to fitting into a theater seat, riding a roller coaster with my son, or not having to give myself insulin shots three times per day.

100 calories is a lot of calories to waste -- that's the same as my protein shake -- which gives me 23g of necessary protein.  JMHO.
