Approved!!!!
I just got notice of approval from BlueCross of Idaho for my surgery on 12/2/14!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited!! And happy!! And kind of scared! And one little piece of me is sad because I will miss some of the ways I used to eat but am dedicated to say goodbye, my relationship with food has not been healthy for me.
I am one week into my pre-op diet and I feel GREAT!! I am sleeping better, my body feels so much more energized and whole if that makes any sense. My brain is functioning better, I am happier... Its really strange how eating healthy is making me feel better. Its not all easy, I have such strong cravings to eat sugar and carbs at night that I feel like a drug addict saying no to heroine. Its crazy!
Its really going to happen. I was so sure they would fight me because of some stupid comment the first surgeon's office I commented made when I started this journey. But all systems are go for a surgery on 12/2/14!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations Cir. I a'm currently waiting on approval for my RNY which is tentatively scheduled for one day prior 12-01-14. That's terrific that you are pumped with the pre-surgery diet and that it is giving you such a positively outlook. It sounds like you will do great!! Hopefully I will get my notice of approval shortly and we can compare notes during the journey. Wishing you all the best.
