Half way there...
Just realized as I updated my weight loss ticker as of today I have passed the half way mark. 5 months, 1 week out... This is the first time in a very long time or ever maybe that I didn't gain weight over the Holidays and still lost. Even years I was on Weigh****chers during the Holidays I would lose 5 -7 pounds between Thanksgiving and Christmas the n between Christmas and New years I would gain the 7 back and a few more. Ugh... This year between Thanksgiving and today I lost 17lbs... Yes! It is not that I didn't eat anything special, I did, I just didn't do special at every meal, or every day. I consider it a victory.

Wow that is so amazing. Did you lose slow at first? I would love to lose that amount in 5 months. That is a lot. I have only lost 28 lbs and this is my week 8. I know that is still good but I hope to lose more as I go along.
I am so proud of you. Keep posting. It really helps us newbies out there to stay encouraged.
I usually make a notation that this weight loss is pre and post op. I lost about 25lb. pre-op and the rest post op. That being said, I had a 3 1/2 week stall that started after 1 week post-op. I lost the most weight Month 3. Who knows why? I don't. Just keep pushing forward. I do what I am supposed to do, but I do change it up try not to get into a rut of eating the same things all the time. I do drink a protein drink every morning, lately it's been the ready-to-drink Premier ones. I find them easier to tolerate in the colder weather because they aren't too thick and I just put it on ice. For me I find weighing myself daily helps keep me on track. I record my weight once a week on Wednesdays. I don't let fluctuations freak me out, just keep moving forward. You will do it.

Congrat's on the weight loss. You go girl ! You are an inspiration...
I was just trying to explain to Em what you said so easily.
I can relate to everything you said. Especially the part about, "Yes! It is not that I didn't eat anything special, I did, I just didn't do special at every meal, or every day. I consider it a victory." Exercising also helped me I think.
Wishing you continued good luck with your WL thanks for sharing.
