It doesn't have anything to do with nerves... It has to do with your intestine that is used to getting partially processed food NOW getting food that hasn't yet been processed at all (just chewed). Sometimes you can eliminate some of the noise by chewing everythign well, but some of it is just a fact of life after RNY.

As Skinny Scientist said, it can even happen with just liquids.
