It didn't really teach me anything I didn't already know, but the review was nice. Next up: seeing the surgeon again on January 28 and then nutritionist on Feb 1. I'm going to ask that they have my surgery after the end of March, since I have my niece and nephew coming up for spring break and I have a big event on March 12 that I need to be fully healed for. I don't know how I'm going to work it.

I think I will be on for a March surgery also, probably early March. It will be nice to know someone on the same timeline as me. :)

As you go on, you learn less. It's the same with support groups postop. But the immersion, the repetition, are important. It helps keep your head in the game, just like coming to OH.

If you're really lucky, you learn a little. If you're just a little lucky, you learn nothing. Usually, you get bad information.

Congrats on crossing another step off your list. And it's great you are able to be patient. I actually delayed surgery a couple of months so the timing was better. Most people go nuts when they can't schedule it tomorrow. It took a long time to reach this crossroads, and it takes a while to fix it.

A friendly suggestion to make a list of questions and give to the nutritionist before the February 1st appointment so s/he can have answers ready for you.  That way, it will be better use of everybody's time.  OH is continual learning, appreciated, and important; it is the best use of time, too.
