Yeah, but my one was three times crappier than your two.

We do have something in common though. Both of our exes were running around with other women.

So what I hear you saying, he was devoted to you. Gave all his attention to you. That's sweet.

Read her original comment.

"A crappy marriage will fail."

IS NOT the same text as

"A marriage that fails is crappy."

I don't see the latter text at all.

Actually, it said a crappy marriage may fail, but I'm talking about the first part: "A good marriage will be fine..."  That means the same thing as, "A marriage that isn't fine, isn't good."  You can't mean one without meaning the other.

In what universe does it mean the same thing?  I'm the one who said it and I don't see that meaning behind it at all.  If I had meant to say a marriage that isn't fine isn't good, that's what I would have said.  But then everyone would have been looking at me as if I'd been at Mary Jane

I misspoke, they don't mean the same thing.  What I meant is that if the first is true - if a marriage is good then it will be fine - the contrapositive must also be true - if a marriage isn't fine then it isn't good.  It's basic propositional logic.
