I am an avid vegetable gardener, and that keeps me active and outdoors during the spring and summer. I also enjoy a good book, scrapbooking, drawing (painting too, but no room to get my paint supplies out), thrifting, and I have found that I do actually enjoy going to the gym or going For a walk through a nearby park.

I try to avoid watching too much TV, because it makes me want to snack.

I still like to go to nice places for dinner. I live near the beach I try to go there as much as I can.

It is a life changer what we do. I had so much fear of getting up in front of people. I am in a play the first week in December. I love to sing and dance. I decided to do what I want and not what others always want to do.

We will see what comes next.

I like reading and knit/crochet or make wreaths to keep my hands busy. Since the invention of audibles I can do both. Love listening to my book and work on a project. Exercise has also become a distraction...7 days a week. When you mix it up it's fun. I do 2 days weight training with a trainer, 2-3 days Zumba and 2-3 days elliptical (while watching cheesy shows that I would never admit to anybody I watch). Honestly food is no longer at the forefront of my day...when I get hungry I eat, otherwise I just go about my day.

My hobbies are crocheting and reading. Sorry to say since surgery I have not done much of it. Usually around this time of year I crochet hats or scarves for my kids. They have enough now. I may start to crochet some for kids that need it. Last year I gave out crocheted dish cloths for Christmas. This year I tried out making Pot Holders but did not crochet enough to give out. Maybe next year.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is coloring books. They're a great distraction. I also like reading and making shrines/ assemblages and jewelry. But coloring books are just right for those moments when you need something to do with your hands! Nance

Excercise is a big one for me, so much do that I'm actually becoming a personal trainer.

Painting, reading, and funny enough-cooking. Cooking high quality meals has been really rewarding and satisfying.

abd with friends I like to go to coffee shops, or if we are feeling adventurous horse back riding.

and of course volunteer work. It's especially fun if you go with friends.

I was not a fast loser but who cares as long as you get there! I know the newbies check the trackers and the signatures so although I kind of lost track of how the rest of the weight came off, you should know that it was not fast and furious but it was slow and steady!

current BMI 24.7 that, my friends, is NORMAL!!! Strong is the new pretty!
