morning everyone. I'm awake early as usual but lying bed in agony. I've had the worst stiff neck imangineable since Wednesday. This is excruciating pain and I'm totally bummed because Im supposed be running an 8k tomorrow. I was able to go to the gym yesterday morning and run a mile and a half on the treadmill, but honestly it wasn't hurting as bad then- and there's no need to look over your shoulder on the treadmill. I'm toying with taking a narcotic pain med to see how I respond. I'm leaving work early to go to the health and fitness expo to pick up my bib, and may go to urgent care.

I'll Also shop for thanksgiving dinner. It's such an afterthought at the moment for me. I'll cook, but I'm not anxious about anything. My weight is sky high at the moment but between the pain and my cycle I don't have the capacity to care. I'm not off track- my body is just dealing with a lot at the moment. It will level out.

Qotd: calling on my Black Friday shoppers!! Any thing you all have your eyes on? I may buy an insta pot, not committed though. I just bought a new coat I got on a great Veterans Day sale. My kids want to clothes shop/ and I'll be looking to get new towels for the house. We'lll be out with the masses, we love it! How about you?!

hi peach

I would def say rest for your race. maybe some stretching if possible.

I ordered groceries online and picked them up to make my life easier. We got our first dusting/frost last night. Will put turkey in fridge sunday to defrost it. Our kitchen is a disaster right now- counter is off and no sink so this thanksgiving should be interesting.

QOTD: mom is taken care of, but I want to buy DH the bose that are on sale for 99$ at costco online on black friday. Then I can have his old ones with the wire lol.

Weight slightly back up though I've been really good this week- its probably water and so annoying.

food for today:

coffee

PP as creamer

protein pancakes

last of chicekn wings?

bought these very expensive steaks so will probably have that.

It is too bad that your neck is hurting so much Peach. Definitely see someone if it doesn't improve. I like the second wig with the bangs particularly but the first is great as is the smile on DH's face!

Thanks for the birthday wishes for DH. I think he had a good day and we celebrated with friends last night. My picture is from last night.

QOTD: Dyson Animal V8 cordless vacuum - DD says it will change my life! DH will give it to me for Christmas.

Accountability: We celebrated with fudge cake and a glass of high end Pinot Noir. Need I say more?

We have that Dyson. It IS a life changer. We've always had Shelties and they shed a lot. You wouldn't know coming to our home thanks to our Dyson. DH is a master vacuumer!!

We have the V8animal.

DH being an expert in gadgets and researching them to death said it was the best for us. Although now that V10 is out he is drooling after that one!

That's a lovely birthday photo! I'm glad your DH enjoyed himself!

I have a Dyson too, but it's not a cordless model. It is very good, as long as I empty it a couple of times while vacuuming the place - I have two shedding cats, kitty litter which gets kicked out of the box, and a large, shedding wool area rug. Plus, I myself have always been a prolific shedder, and even though it's back to a normal shedding level it still adds up! I've been thinking of getting a cordless model as well - or, more likely, a Roomba!
