Another snack idea I almost forgot about - part-skim ricotta with sugar free syrup mixed in.

1/4 cup ricotta with a tablespoon of SF vanilla is A-MA-ZING!

Mornin' All!

Meeting a friend for yoga (and probably coffee afterward) in an hour - then meeting another friend at a movie theatre at 1:00 (we're seeing that new movie about Ruth Bader Ginsburg...."On the Basis of Sex"). Still no snow here (thankfully), but we might get some this weekend. We'll still be on the northern edge of it, though, so hopefully not a lot (NOT a fan...)

QOTD 1: right now I love Trader Joe's High Fiber Cereal, but I don't think I discovered this until AFTER surgery. I used to sometimes put a tablespoon or two of Kashi Go Lean Granola on my yogurt for the crunch (but haven't done this in awhile). I think I may have eaten this pre-surgery, and if so, I would have eaten it by the bowlful instead of just on top of yogurt - but I honestly can't remember. I haven't been a cereal eater in a long time. Pre-surgery, I always had smoothies for breakfast (now, I always have Greek yogurt).

QOTD 2: I've already made plans to go to India this coming fall, which has always been a bucket list item.

Accountability has been great for well over a week now. My weight is dropping, but VERY GRADUALLY. Who knew it would take forever to lose 2 or 3 lbs? I used to be able to do that in a weekend when I was SMO!

3 years 7 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with pomegranate seeds, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: homemade cottage cheese

AS: choice of: light yogurt, hummus with baby carrots, or protein pumpkin pie

D: I'm thinking turkey chili again (not tired of it yet!)

ES: if needed, same choices as AS

ex: yoga

Vice was good. Haven't seen The Favorite yet, but it's on my list. Maybe next week!

I have Ruth Bader Ginsburg's husband's treatise on my desk at work. While an excellent tax attorney is career wasn't quite as exciting as his wife's.

oh wow - that's really cool! I knew he was an attorney, but I didn't realize his specialty was tax law until I saw this movie today. The movie was really good (I'm sure, as usual, they took some liberties with the story to add to the drama, but I know some of it, at least, really happened). I saw "RBG" back in the fall and really liked that one, too. I'm more and more impressed with her all the time. What other Supreme Court justice has had two movies made about them in the same year?? Or movies made about them at all?? (actually - there was one on Thurgood Marshall a couple of years ago, now that I'm thinking about it....but they are among the few for sure. But two??)

Good morning! I'm on my way to work (DH is driving). My new job has moved from being "overwhelming" to being "challenging" which is good. I'm excited for the day I can come to work and go to my desk and do my job without having to ask 5000 questions about everything.

Qotd: I loved Honeycomb cereal and Special K. Wasn't really a super sugary cereal kind of person. In fact, I wasn't much of a cereal person at all, I rarely bought cereal. I ate the Honeycomb cereal dry as a snack, not for breakfast.

menu: creme brûlée Greek L&F, then coffee

lunch: it was BBQ meatballs and chicken strips as options today. I will probably have a few meatballs and a salad with grilled chicken breast, which is always on the salad bar

dinner: We're seeing Aladdin (broadway production) tonight at the Orpheum, I think we'll eat at the seafood restaurant nearby. I had a kind of seafood soup dish last time that was amazing but I'll try something new tonight.

Oh! And bucket list for this year is to read the unread books on my bookshelf.

Confession. I bought 5 more books last night while we "killed time" at the bookstore waiting for my car to be done at the shop.

That is a great bucket list item. I would need a couple years to get through mine!
