Happy Thursday! I had a good evening with the aunts and my uncle, but of stress with my mom and she's already started up today but we'll get through it. Two days of driving and the fam is a little stiff and sore so i promised them a low key day, probably a couple of walks in the neighborhood trails, then lunch out and they want to watch the 2nd episode of game of thrones again tonoreo for Sunday...and I'm good with that!

qotd - Bluetooth, streaming, internet in general and the computer in your pocket are all things that that would amaze me - they ARE things that amaze me, lol. Also Germany becoming the powerhouse it has become, given the wall only fell in 1989; pretty sure no one predicted that in 1991 - also how public people are with their hate these days would be shocking, it's shocking now when we've all seen it build up over time...but to just get thrown in? I hope they take a long time to introduce her to social media!

menu is a bit up in the air but I'm going to make eggs and bacon for everyone for breakfast, maybe throw some chicken breasts into the crockpot for dinner and lunch out will be protein forward.

Should be a great Thursday! I hope everyone's is too!!

G'morning everybody and happy jr Friday!

Weather is warm and beautiful in my area. I had an NSV yesterday. You've seen most of the pics I post about the cement ship and the pier. It's a special place for me, on the cliff. Sometimes instead of eating my lunch at my desk (my usual) I take it there to enjoy the view. In the past I've always sat in the car. In my pre WLS I would practically hide in the car because I didn't like anybody seeing me eat. Yesterday, I took my lunch to the bench and ate in plain view. It might not seem a lot to some of you but I was almost teary eyed. I couldn't care less who saw me eating because I was comfortable in my skin and I didn't feel people might judge me eating. I know it's all in my head and people don't care about what you do but it was such a freeing feeling for me.

QOTD - I heard about the woman. Aside from all the technology, I thought of her son. Can you imagine not seeing your baby for 28 years and then see him as a grown man? I think it's heart breaking and wonderful at the same time. Heartbreaking because you missed all the special moments with your kid, wonderful because he is a grown man and he survived all those trial and tribulations. If it were me, I would be crying a lot.

My easter detox continues:

  • Premier protein
  • Shredded pork
  • HB eggs + tuna

I am attaching a pic of my new car vs the old car. As I posted on FB, buh-bye diesel hello electric.

Sheila, that is an awesome NSV. It's really our heads that have the biggest battles and you won that one! Go you!

Chris, it's so quiet that it almost scares me. No idea when it's on or off. I'm worried people on the street might not even hear me approaching. It's a very smooth ride, so far.

I've heard others saying the same thing about those vehicles. They need to make the vehicles have an artificial engine sound! LOL!
