Just Curious- Did you move from shopping in the plus size department to the regular sizes?
I started around 260 pounds, size 20ish. Right now I weigh around 160 (give or take a pound here or there) and I wear a 4 or 6 or 8. Mostly size 6 pants and a small or medium top. Plan on never returning to plus sizes. I love shopping and I don't buy anything full price. I am a clothing ***** and I am proud of it!

I too started out at 3x. Within 6 months I was in Large top and 14 bottom. I bought 14W in a dress today though cuz I have back fat that I'm considering lipsuctioning. Sometimes I automatically look at plus and then I remember that I'm not anymore... you will get used to it and hopefully it will be something to stay!

Wow it?s amazing to read about everyone who have gone from plus sized clothing to regular sized! It?s hard for me to even believe I?ll ever be in regular sizes. I still believe I?ll be in plus sizes forever because well I?ve just always been in them for as long as I can remember. I still remember being in middle school and going shopping with my mom and being bummed that I couldn?t shop in the juniors section like all the other girls my age. The clothes were just way too small and I had to get my clothes out of the women?s section. It was humiliating. I?ve always been bigger then most. Which is why I?ve always hated shopping. I?ve been in a 3x for years and still am to this day. Guess I?ll believe it when I see it. I can?t even fathom fitting into anything but plus sizes.

Yes, at my highest weight I was a 22 in jeans and a 2/3XL in tops. I was in an 18 jeans when I had surgery. I now wear 4/6 jeans and S/M top.

it's hard to say because rate of weight loss can vary so much between people depending on so many factors (age, gender, metabolism rate, starting BMI, whether or not you dropped a lot of weight prior to surgery, etc). I would think in four months you should be at minimum 40-50 lbs lighter than you are now, though (most likely more). I do know that the closer I got to normal weight, the faster I clipped through sizes. Now, at a normal BMI, a 5-10 lb loss or gain can mean another size - but that wasn't the case when I was SMO - it could take several pounds before I'd move down a size. But then, when I was SMO, I used to buy baggier clothing (and stretchy pants), too, so...
my guess is yes, you'll probably be in a new, smaller size by then, though.
I am 17 months post-op and down almost 190 pounds - started in size 5X clothing and now down to probably a large or an extra large in some things. I have had a hard time moving to the regular department but I am getting there thanks to my daughter! I keep wondering when I will begin to visualize myself the way I truly look.....LOL Feels good to get the large stuff....once I get the skin off my tummy I am expecting another shock - dropping into clothes that are a single digit number!
