I agree with others that caregiving is very stressful, but remember that you need to take care of yourself to have the strength to take care of others. You will be in my thoughts

Janet, I'm truly sorry that you are struggling. We all admire you so much for your courage, persistance, and kindness - not to mention your fabulous achievements! I wish that I lived close enough to you to be of genuine, practical help, enough so that you could catch at least a little break! I do know that low points, no matter how Sisyphean they may seem, do not last forever. You are in my thoughts and my prayers.

Janet,

It makes me so upset when patients can't choose a treatment due to finances. We are the only country in the industrialized world that won't have access to top treatment due to cost. Such a shame!

Please don't feel like a failure, it's our representatives that should feel like failures they are. They are only worried about being re-elected instead of caring for their constituents.

Sorry, I will now get off my soapbox!

Caregiving is the hardest most rewarding, and selfless things to do. I am so sorry!

i was my grandparents main caregiver. My grandpa had Alzheimer's and leukemia. The VA Dr told us it's cancer of the blood "no big deal". It's so frustrating to know things that could improve it but it's out of reach. It makes you feel like a failure because you can't fix it when you're used to be the fixing person.

you have all of us here to vent to. Please vent, even if it's not happy positive stuff, you don't need to carry that too!

hi all

I made it back last night. yippie! We MAY have some good news soon on the housing issue... mums the word. lol

QOTD: I recommended an app at our team lunch last night. its called the house and it is a regional app that restaurants sign up on and they tell you their specials each day. our office not in an area where you can just walk to food so you either have to bring it or get delivered or go out. Yesterday we had wings and I must have really been wanting it cause I ate all 8! very unusual for me. usually 4 is the limit.

anyway my goal for today is to go back to my regular eating and be very consistent. and going to gym after work. will plan on a combo cardio/weight session.

Ozark is THE BEST. I'm dying for the next season to come out!

I have lost a few pounds since leaving work and being back here every day. Funny how that works isn't it??
