It's likely been discussed, but I'm back after a long absence. What's a Chafle and whisp?

Welcome back. I'm folllowing a low carb diet right now to try to lose 10lbs of regain.

A Chaffle is a cheese waffle. It's one egg beaten mixed with 1/4 c shredded cheese and put into a mini waffle maker. It makes 2. Low carb and filling.

Whisps are a brand name of 100% Parmesan cheese crisps that are crunchy like chips but low carb because they are all cheese.

JB do you put anything in the chaffle like green onions or just the egg and cheese.

I am more likely to add in herbs and spices than actual veggies. But yes--sometimes!

My favorite is an Italian Herb with chopped up pepperoni in it. It tastes like a pizza without adding the sugary sauce.

I've tried about every recipe on Pinterest...

I also do a "sweet" variety that uses cream cheese/egg/coconut flour/splenda.

I haven't found a sweet one that I love yet. I made a chocolate one with Lily's sugar free chocolate chips that was pretty good but too decadent for more than a treat.

I don't add anything to the batter it's just what I put on top....SF maple or blueberry syrup or sometimes on the weekend I will have fruit and whipped cream. So basically it's just regular "waffles".
