Wow - where is everybody this weekend? It's been so quiet in here!!

yesterday was bad (eating-wise). I went over my calorie range just with my regular food - and then totally blew it with cookies last night. Ugh. I'm particularly disappointed because I have a couple of lunches out this week, so I was planning to have a totally on-plan weekend. Well, what's done is done - today will be better (except I'm going to someone's 70th birthday party this afternoon - I REALLY need to watch myself!)

I found out last night that my first cousin passed away - age 63. I'm not sure why - although she's had a lot of health issues the last couple of years. This is the first one in my generation of cousins to pass. I wasn't particularly close to her (they've always lived really far away from us, so we rarely saw each other), but this isn't sitting well. I wasn't expecting to start losing relatives in my generation this soon - but, we're at that age when things start happening, unfortunately.

4 years 9 months out:

B: 1/2 C protein oatmeal with 1 T Kirkland mixed nut butter (noticed this at Costco yesterday and bought some) with 1/2 plain Greek yogurt and apple compote, coffee with half & half

MS: Fit Frappe

L: pulled chicken (also from Costco) and BBQ sauce

AS: I'll be at the birthday party. Hopefully she'll have some safe things there. i'd better take a protein bar just in case...

D: not sure - maybe a salad with diced turkey and light dressing

ex: weights. And maybe some cardio, too.

have a great Sunday, everyone!

Good morning, Trish!

Sorry to hear about your cousin.

Yes, it's been super quiet this weekend. Hopefully, that's because the rest of the country was getting beautiful spring weather. It was freezing in Chicago yesterday.

Not a good eating day for me yesterday either. I need to dial it back in today, certainly. Not much on the agenda for this afternoon. I need to do my tax extensions and the financial statement for the organization that I serve on the Board of. Other than that, stop eating a protein bar every time that I walk by the pantry.

Breakfast: Chaffle

Lunch: Pulled Pork

Snack: nuts

dinner: Chili

Have a great day, all!

Happy Sunday all! All last week was bad eating wise for me so I've got to get it together this week! Yesterday was a lot better until I got the munchies last night and ate more than I should have. Going to bed early tonight so that doesn't happen again. I did buy a lot of healthy snacks yesterday though when I went grocery shopping for the week.

B: premier shake

B2: coffee w/Splenda and sugar free creamer

S: L&F yogurt w/banana

L: carrots w/hummus and 1 light baby bell cheese

D: maybe some soup

S: a few strawberries if I get hungry

Good Sunday afternoon everyone. I hope all are just having a great weekend and to busy to post.

My weekend has been utter **** Eating like crazy and i'm just very ashamed of where I am at. I am in a lot of pain and I think that's why i'm at the point of not giving a crap. A small part of me does but I am also very tired and think that there isn't any point to caring.

I've been having pain in my abdomen still. Thankfully that's not sharp pain...I think WW would work well if I followed it. I am finding with Lyrica I am like a zombie. Hungry all the time and just not feeling good. I see the pain specialist on the 19th so I am going to ask about going off of it...it's not helping much anyway.

I'm also very sad and depressed. All in all a perfect storm of not caring.

I also see my bariatric surgeon later this month so I need to have a serious talk with him about a few things.

Hope the week ahead is brighter for us all!

While I am not happy that others are struggling, I am happy that I'm not alone. At 9 months out, I'm reaching a point where I can eat enough to stall my weight loss. So instead of focusing on 'what can I eat' I am trying to switch to 'what should I eat'.

My pouch has been temperamental the last few weeks and it's been boycotting meat with any grain to it, such as steak or pork chops, so I've been leaning heavier on the protein shakes.

Although I have not gone back to drinking coffee, I did get into a habit of drinking black tea with creamer and splenda - which isn't necessarily bad but it was leading me back into old habits so it had to go. I'm back on green tea with splenda (less caffeine, no creamer) and I've ditched another food that was (surprisingly) leading me back into old habits as well.

With that done, I'm going to work on weeding out other things that I suspect have crept in and started to sabotage my weight loss. I'm taking it one step at a time and ~refusing~ to listen to that little voice that says my diet should be perfect and it is always trying to guilt me for not being perfect. It's hard to do!

So sorry about your cousin. It does seem strange when more people in our generation start passing away from various causes.

I am trying to be good this weekend as I'm up a pound over my goal weight but I'm not terribly worried. I had a high day Friday but yesterday was good and today so far.

Weird weather day here in Southwest Florida. Super windy and it was quite cold the last two nights (high 40's). Though I like the fact that it will be light out later, I HATE that it is dark so late in the morning and just hate having to deal with a time change at all.

TSS: 3 years, 11 months

B: coffee, WW one point muffin and blueberries

L: Everroast chicken and laughing cow cheese

D: Air fried catfish and veggies

S: yogurt and strawberry compote, WW zero point banana pie

I. Hate. DST.

Yesterday my eating wasn't good and today hasn't been any better. I'm blaming DST plus the full moon and the pain in my lower back is not improving.

Tomorrow, I plan to stick with protein and very low carb.

No posting my eats today.

I'm with all of you on the DST I found myself being a total grump on Monday. I just wanted to bite everyone's head off. If California can get the bill passed this will be the last time we switch to DST it will stay all year round. Oregon & Washington have already passed bills to stay but all 3 state in the Pacific Time Zone have to agree. So once again we wait on CA.
