Morning everyone! It's the last day of July, can you believe it? I swear that the first month that we worked from home felt like a year, but since then the months are just flying by. I can't believe that the summer is coming to an end.

Yesterday was another successful day...10 days into my personal challenge with myself. I ended the day with 8698 steps and 22 points. Yay!

As of now, my menu is completely up in the air. My mom invited me to her house for another one of those virtual wine & cheese presentations from a local winery, so my plan has been to eat 0 points all day and then go and splurge all 23 points tonight. But... the more I think about it, the more I think I shouldn't go. My mom and I both had unexpected things happen last weekend that put is in close proximity with strangers and while neither of think we got sic****ep thinking to myself that it would be silly to risk my Dad's health over a little wine & cheese... All of a sudden cases are starting to tick back up around here after being on a decline for about a month, so it just feels like an unnecessary splurge. The last one as really fun and yummy though!

QOTD: Can you do 50 push ups? Not me...no way! I doubt that even in my best shape when I was running 10 miles, I could have done more than 20. I was thinking that maybe in my next personal challenge I might focus on strength training, because that is definitely lacking for me.

Like I said, no official menu until I figure out my plan tonight. But Liz, I realized that I ran out of tuna, however, I do have a bunch of canned chicken that I stocked up on back when they told us that there would be a big meat shortage, so I am definitely going to try to modify that tuna burger today with canned chicken, instead! I am thinking in place of the Dijon, I will moisten with plain greek yogurt and flavor with fresh basil :)

Morning! I have a ton to get done in the next 19 days before my surgery. Not the least of which is getting my surgeon's office to fix my FMLA paperwork because the way they originally wrote it has me out of work for 12 weeks (I should be out for 2, but have intermittent leave for 10 more for PT). Also, I have to write performance plans for my group of 10, which is always a chore. It's super foggy here this morning, so I'm interested to feel what the temp is like. Today is my last long walk for my class! I mean, I was walking the same amount before this class but there's something different about being forced to do it.

QOTD: Hard no. Even when I was at my strongest I couldn't have done 50 push ups. Modified ones? Yeah, probably. I'm a super weakling on top now though since all I do is walk and do some lower body/core work to support my hip recovery when the time comes. The worst part of that is more loose skin on my arms.

My Food:

  • Coffee w/ Cream x3
  • Eggs, Cheese, Hashbrown
  • TBD, I'm thinking chicken and brussel sprouts

Paper work and Doctors is such a PITA. I go through this every day with my DH pain Doctor and Long term disability. They always say they did not get them and he as to go to the office pick them up and I have to scan and send from my office. It is very ridiculous. They also will not take and email you have to fax. Do you know what it is like to send a 150 page fax. UGH, I'm feeling you girl. Good luck.

I do welcome sessions with new teacher hires and when I tell these kids (who we're born in the late 90s) that they have to fax their benefits information into the city instead of email it, they look at me like I have 12 heads.

Good morning everyone.

woke up to go to the restroom and my back sprung a leak. So now I have some gauze over it with some tape. I think I'll be calling the doctor when they open to see what to do. My mom thinks it should of stopped doing that by now. Ugh. I'm so frustrated I'd cry if I could.

qotd: haha haha a big no from me. Funny enough I could do planks but not those.

food is up in the air for me too. I might fix some cauliflower fried rice tonight if I feel up to it. Oatmeal likely for the other two meals and some coconut milk yogurt.

I'm ready for this week to be over.

Me too! I sent a picture and he said it looks ok but he didn't like the amount it drained and I've been having cold chills(haven't had a fever though when I tested it).
