"Exciting" drive?! I bet you will check where the phone is next time.

Whenever we rented one of those box trucks, DH drove them.

Mornin' All!

DH and I have a hair appt this afternoon, and then I have a board meeting (via Zoom) at 5:30. Otherwise, that's it. I plan to do an online strength-training class at 10:00. I'm feeling mostly caught up with stuff, but I have a whole list of winter projects that I could tackle - it'd probably take me 10 years to finish them all!

I really need to try to lower my calories more because my weight is higher than I'm comfortable with, and it's not budging. I could easily eat 1800 kcal a day this summer (and occasionally more), because I was biking 1-2 hours a day 5-6 days a week. I really have to eat fewer than 1600 kcal now to lose anything (and preferably less than that since it'd be R-E-A-L-L-Y slow going at that rate). This is so frickin' hard. I start out every morning with good intentions, and it's rare that I really blow it, but I do end up eating more calories than planned almost every day. Enough to keep me at where i don't want to be. UGH. I'm glad I'm not gaining, but I want to be at least five lbs lighter. I guess I need to start asking myself every time I'm tempted to have some unplanned snack which is more important - this snack or being where I want to be weight-wise.

QOTD: Back when I worked for one of the state agencies, I was one of the handful of people in my office who was authorized to drive those 15-passenger vans - so that. I've had Honda Civics (and at one time a Honda CRX - a two-seater sports car) since the late 70s, so anything much bigger than that seems enormous to me!

TSS: 5y7m

B: I think I'm going to attempt Liz's microwaved scrambled eggs with cottage cheese since I've got a ton of egg whites left from last night's "experiment" (I attempted to make eggnog-flavored yogurt for DH). Coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake or Fit Frappe

L: leftover Indian-spiced kidney bean stew

AS: we'll be at the hair place a chunk of the afternoon, so I'll take a protein bar with me just in case (or I may eat the planned breakfast for lunch since all that protein will last a long time - if I do this, I'll have the usual yogurt and fruit for breakfast)

D: Thai-style chicken/broccoli curry

ex: strength-training. I should probably do some cardio as well. Feeling really fat this morning for some reason...

have a great day, everyone!!

I have to go under 1000, but ideally under 800 calories to lose. It isn't easy! But as we all know, filling up with protein first works best.

under 1000 would be awful! I'm glad I was blessed with a fairly decent metabolism. I'll lose if I'm at or under 1500, but even that can be a challenge!

I am finally dropping steadily by staying between 650 - 800. I have been planning for 200, with 4 small meals at 200 each and I find it pretty satisfying now that I have played around with it.

  • High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)

Good Morning Liz and Menuers,

Thanks for starting us off Liz it is greatly appreciated. I loved your rant. If you think Florida is bad with getting the vaccine out you should be in Pennsylvania. They still have not finished up with the Essential workers and the nursing homes. As you all know my mom is 82 and the doctor just tells me it is not time yet keep watching your email.

Speaking of my Doctor I had a phone appointment this morning and he seems to be happy with my bloodwork which is great. He has no answers about my leg cramps. I take 500 mg of Magnesium and drink 100 ounces of water a day you think I wouldn't get them but I do 3-4x a week and it is painful. Any suggestions? He did prescribe me an inhaler because my husband diagnosed me with Exercise-induced asthma (EIA), I do cough a lot when I run so I will give it a try.

Here is a Meme for us today. JB is way better at this!

QOTD: A Ford F150. I do wish there were self driving cars that worked. I hate driving but there is no public transportation betwwen home and my office.

Chrissy, I add a Gatorade Free at least 5 days a week. My doctor suggested it, and it keeps my leg cramps at bay.

Worth trying!
