The therapist sounds fantastic. I saw a therapist for a very short time but was related to some personal issues unrelated to food (although I may have used food to cope with my feelings), but I wanted to continue after surgery to work on food related behaviors. Unfortunately, not all therapists are equipped or specialize in that type of therapy. I didn't feel that it benefited me in relation to my eating behaviors, so I stopped. I try to be aware of my eating behaviors and why I want to eat but I still think that the type of therapy you have described would be helpful.

It's awesome that you were able to find someone to talk through those specific issues.

Good mornin.

I showed up yesterday to my appointment only to realize it was today...not yesterday. I did find out my colonoscopy and egd is May 30th after writing my NP there. Good to be the a squeaky wheel sometimes.

I have another appointment today after the true one this morning. It's just to update paperwork at the mental health clinic I go to.

we may visit Walmart but I'd be glad to stay home after my appointments.

QOTD: every other day for me. I don't take as good of care as I should of my hair.

food is terribly unplanned. I do have some fresh fruit to snack on and some chicken breast.

I guess it's better that you were a day early vs a day late!

I'm learning you have to be that squeaky wheel when it comes to healthcare, especially when you have doctors across specialities. They have such lenses that they review everything through and it's up to you to provide all the details again and again. Glad you're continuing down the path and hope it goes well today.

Thanks!

they decided to try morphine again to make sure. If I have the crazy side effects again it'll be adios to the pain pump. I'm not very optimistic about it but it's worth a try. Really hoping for no itching.

I have had some serious stomach issues so it'll be interesting to see the colonoscopy results.

Fingers crossed for you. Some of my feedback was to do everything I can to keep my system moving with all the things I take that cause constipation. Might be a factor for you?

Good morning Abilene, Kansas! Yesterday?s travels were uneventful and we got all set up. I used the laundry mat to catch up with clean clothes and floor rugs, and we went grocery shopping. I get I?m from Southern California and we pay more?but $1.25 for a dozen eggs? $4.00 for a two pack of thick butterflied pork chops? That part was shocking. Canned and premade foods seemed about the same, but all the fresh stuff was like bargain bonanza. I had to watch that I didn?t buy more than the rig can hold. Amusingly, there is a beer back here Rog likes and we can?t get at home. So he picked up two 24 can packs to take back. They cost more than the week?s groceries!

Today is big stuff! Eisenhower Museum, The Greyhound Hall of Fame and the Seeley House. Let me not start a debate on animal cruelty and racing. We are going because they have retired dogs roaming and you get to pet them. And if you?ve ever met Rog, you?ll understand why we are going. To pet dogs. It?s free and they take donations to place retired dogs.

Accountability for yesterday was like 85%. My quantities were excellent, but I had more carbs than normal (I?m looking at you, stuffed potato) and I added a glass of wine and 140 calories worth of chocolate I did not need. Today is a new day. I did get in yoga and a good walk while dealing with laundry yesterday. Five trips hauling stuff all the across the campground and back. I?m counting it as exercise because I was sweating and my arms wore worn out.

QoTD: Every other day. Old skin and hair don?t appreciate water anymore. Everything dries me out. I even plan shower day around big workout days, fresh sheet days?special events, etc, so I can avoid showering two days in a row when possible. Oh my God, I?ve become my mother!

Today?s eats

B. Cottage cheese and a hard boiled egg

L. Probably out so the insides of something

D 1/4 to 1/2 of the Butterfield pork chop, coleslaw and a thumb sized piece of the jalapeño cornbread with Amish butter.

Peace Everybody.
