What's on your Thursday Menu?

Good Friday-Eve morning gang. Things were a bit crazy this morning at work, but we are all set now. Today is my Friday and the second Employee Appreciation Day. Pray the rain holds off until this afternoon since the clambake company cooks on site.

Tomorrow we are going to the underground prison jack-o-lantern event, but first we are stopping by Pleasant View Farm to get some grassfed red angus beef. We go a few times a year to get some. After the jack-o-lantern thing we are going to stop at another farm to get some lamb that is also grassfed. Not sure what we will be doing this weekend.

QOTD: Does your town or a town near you hold any Jack-o-Lantern events? Roger Williams Zoo in RI has been doing one for 20 years. There are other towns around me that do them also. I've only been to a few over the years, but they have always been great.

I finally sent out FIVE batches of bank statements , letters of recommendation and salary proofs , ID s you name it these gosh darn NYC landlords require it .

Total waste of DAYS of precious time ... and mostly for nothing - good apartments get instantly snapped up by the over organized OCD sufferers ( same phychological group as the landlords Im convinced )

No marriage license yet but getting NY State ID anyway ... with partial maiden last name .

Phones still not werking - nasty manager at ATT phone store wont even let me use their phone to call insurance so they unblock mine .

Give some people a little authority ... theyll show U their azz ... and true personalities .. UGLY.

Dad called me today said theyre returning to FL Dec 2 ... well teeth will cost him a lot more there . But I wont let them be pulled so have no clue how this will work since crowns n screws are apparently illegal dental procedures in the US .

I doubt this is actually true but multiple US dentists have said this to me ... and refused to work on my mouth !

Not only do I refuse to pay $8000 per tooth I absolutely refuse to pull out perfectly healthy roots and teeth to replace them with artificial roots ( implants ) . Thats NUTS !!!

Happy Weekend Eve to you then. Hope you get all your projects finished. Hope your clambake went well and no rain until after. Before I quit working our store had an event like that but we just got hot dogs and catered sides.

QOTD: Not a city wide event, no. But at the agri-tourism area nearby (Greenbluff) many farms offer their own harvest celebration events every weekend during October. I try to get out there with family every year to get a quart of local honey. It normally ends on Halloween but maybe they'll extend it to this weekend this year. Then they gear up for the Christmas events. Fun for families that like to cut a fresh Christmas tree.

Couldn't fall asleep till 5 this morning so my menu is off kilter.

B: a cup of Pero w/1 T of Cremora and a packet of sweetener.

L: Another homemade egg bite, only one left after this. With meds for dessert.

D: 3 oz chicken breast, 1/2 cup FF cottage cheese, a zero net carb tortilla, salsa.

S: Protein shake

Today's plan is to try an experiment with my "Contrave". Missed the Naltrexone last night so I took it plus half of this morning's Bupropion to see if it works better. There has to be a way to get back to the relief from head hunger it gave me in the beginning. Luckily it is gray and gloomy today so I can make up that protein shake and sip all day while sewing and staying out of the kitchen. I may steal your chili idea for Hubby, it is so nice to get the house filled the aroma of that in the crockpot bubbling away.

Sorry I dont think there IS relief from head hunger - thats why I collect all kinds of food every day that I have no hope of getting down more than a few bites of 14 long years post RNY.

There are worse conditions than wanting to taste everything - maybe When I have more munny itll switch to wanting to EXPERIENCE everything lol.

Napped in LI last nite then boogied to the City this morning.

Plans today - turn on phone, call real estate attys , see more apartments and apply for those I did see and like ... set up permanent free gym membership -mebbe actually go to a museum exhibit or see an opera or modern dance performance.

Gotta buy a brushcutter and truck to take litter on property 2 d curb ... and finish trimming hedge.

But Im bored , semi broke n tired ... need a well deserved cash injection from insurance , Dad who owes m Plenty or the Town that wrecked my beautiful heating system and left my basement flooded ... better yet all of the above .

Need to find and interview other attys for cases Ive neglected - 911 , jewelry insurance before it times out even a slipn fall . Grrrr

Hate wasting precious time on this stuff ... ( hardly believe it can be rewarding ) but ITS GOTTA GIT DONE lol!

Bits of Whole Foods stale pastry ( finally threw it out ) bite of Payday bar
