Topic: RE: What's on your Monday(Memorial Day)menu?

Yesterday was pretty awful...food wise I had a slip up & had a pinch of cheese. Mentally my mind is odd. Anyways...this is a new day and only 2 days until revision. Tomorrow is clear liquids only so no room for messing up. My stomach is incredibly upset today but we went and put flags out on our family members who served graves. I miss so many of them...esp my grandpa.

Looks to be a busy day here, 4 more days! I need to clean the house pretty good and vacuum the upstairs. My stomach has been upset for the past 4 days so that's been fun.

qotd:hmmmm i'd Say Christmas. Partly to the family thing...but also the moments of not having to do as much food prep wise. I'm the main cook in the house. Christmas we usually do lighter fare than Thanksgiving. It lets me enjoy it a bit more when i'm Not cooking the turkey or whatever else we decide to do on thanksgiving. Maybe that's laziness but it's the truth! I still enjoy baking but I don't partake in much of that at all.

I think it's just having to have surgery again. Not even so much RNY itself. When I had my vsg the first 24 hours after were really rough. I threw up no less than 20 times.

Then when I had my gallbladder out in February I got a slight wound infection AND strep throat. Thankfully a trip to the er and a shot took care of that.

i also have terrible anxiety issues on the best of days. My brain isn't shutting down. I also have ocd which has been doing a lot better but the unknown & uncontrollable is scaring me.

i trust my surgeon, very much so! My brain not shutting down i think is the thing bothering me most. I dream about it, not necessarily bad dreams. I started an adult coloring book & app and it helped me last night.

Thank you you for your reply. You are very informative and I thank you again for sharing.

i'm having my revision in 10 days.

how did you combat the scared feeling(if you had it)? I had some before my VSG but not like this.

I'm trying meditation to no avail. Listening to music helps in short spurts. The fact that I have to have eye surgery in June on both eyes(cataract stuff which is frustrating due to me being 38) is also adding to it I think. I've gotten a few coloring books to help keep my mind busy along with my hands.

any tips are appreciated!

I'm super freaking out! Not even sure how to handle myself tbh. I also found out I have to have eye surgery in mid and late June. Sooo much on my mind!

I know it's common to feel nervous but on top of my anxiety issues it sure doesn't feel normal! Lol.

we'll rock this!

Topic: RE: Revision date!

I was shocked to find out I was approved for my revision today and scheduled for the 29th of this month!

I had vsg on 3-14-18. I'm so ready to get this thing going. It's not an easy fix and I know it'll be hard but i'm ready to take my life back!

I wont lie...i'm Scared! I know i've said that before but it's true.

does anyone have a certain bullet journal type thing you'd suggest? I'm looking for letter sized for a regular note book. I want to do it for at least 2-3 months....most likely a year. I've found some printable stuff on Etsy but i'm open to suggestions!

Not sure this will fit in with this since I am waiting on a revision but here is my fantasy meal atm.

Anything Mexican. I haven't been able to eat it in 7-8 months now. I miss it(and well all the flavors.)

breakfast: egg with a tiny bit of black beans and fajita seasoning.

lunch: a taco made with a cheese shell and tomatoes...oh and taco seasoned hamburger meat.

dinner would be a small piece of chicken breast, a faux rice(cauliflower) green chili casserole.

i miss quality food!lol

Thanks!

I hear you there! I have a few friends who?ve had WLS and they are great to talk with but we still don?t want to talk about it all the time.

The gerd was/is so bad I woke up chocking on acid more than once. My quality of food has made the depression worse too. I can?t do garlic, pepper, salt or much onion. I?m working on things constantly in my head.

i have a tentative date, well week of surgery, set. I should find out more info Monday. It's looking like the week of Memorial Day.

i'm a wee bit afraid but not doubting this revision.

After the past 6-8 months I know I need something for this GERD. I'm still on a waiting list to see a specialist for BED. I had an appointment but had to cancel due to illness.

I will be the first to admit my eating has been less than stellar. I am a work in progress as we all are.

not sure what the point of this post is lol. I have very little people to talk to about this stuff.
