Good morning. So happy its Saturday. Last night I tried one of the Starkest tuna foil packs that I read about on this forum. It was really good and just the right size. I had the lemon pepper flavor.

QOTD: When I was at a high weight last winter I had the opposite problem and kept walking into the sides of doorways because I didn't realize how big I had gotten.

Breakfast: Refried beans and Mozzerella

Snack: Cottage cheese

Lunch: Ricotta bake, canned green beans

Snack: Premier, SF popsicles

Dinner Ricotta bake, canned green beans

Good morning all. We are doing the Heart walk today at work. It is along the lake in Chicago and it should be a beautiful day for it. There is a three mile course and a one mile course. I would like to do the three mile course but I will have to see how my knee is feeling.

I am a tennis widower this weekend as my wife will be at the Laver cup from 12-9 each of the next three days. It should give me a good chance to get caught up on some work things.

QOTD: Boy this is a tough one. I don't really follow celebrities or actors. Most of the obese male actors are now dead.

Breakfast: Turkey sausage

Snack: Greek yogurt

Lunch: Premier

Snack: Deli turkey and cheese, SF pudding

Dinner: tuna

Have a great day all!

Good morning everyone! Both of our boys had braces for much longer than the original plan. I am working from home because I have a Board meeting tonight. Also, working from home on Wednesday breaks up the week nicely. Next week I have two days with doctor's appointments so that week will really be broken up.

QOTD: Its super early for me so i'm not ready to declare anything easy but I have found that getting to my fluid goal has not been that difficult.

Good morning. My knee is hurting today. I'm hoping its just a bit sore and not a gout attack. I have read that in the first month after surgery gout attacks can be more common that pre-surgery and then the likelihood of an attack goes down dramatically. Keeping my fingers crossed.

QOTD: Way to early for me to be giving advice but one thing that I have done is to try and focus on decorations this year so I am not focused on food and drink.

I don't have a great feeling about this game. Jacksonville on the road, no Edelman and a couple of other injuries. I think this is the toughest game of the year for the Patriots.

Good morning all. Janet, I love mums. When we lived in Massachusetts they were our favorite to decorate the house with - all the different colors.

With all of the commotion about surgery and recovery I forgot that my anniversary and my wife's birthday are fast approaching. Friday is her birthday and Saturday is our 28th anniversary. I'm planning to work from home again on Wednesday so I will have to go out and get her something. One thing I know for certain is that she doesn't want to go out - next weekend is Laver Cup (tennis) in Chicago and she has tickets with her friends to every day.

QOTD: We have a big inflatable spider that we put out in our yard. There are some houses in our neighborhood that really do a great job decorating, i always love to see them.

Breakfast: Deli turkey and cheese

Snack: Greek yogurt

Lunch: Last of the hospital protein drinks with PB fit

Snack: Deli turkey and cheese, SF popsicle

Dinner: 1/2 Premier, broth

Have a great day all.

QOTD: A couple of years I dressed upas a Ghostbuster to hand out candy to the children that came by the house. Maybe I will try something else this year.

This is my first day of soft foods and I'm going to try refried beans. Also going to try and drink the two protein drinks left over from the hospital.

Good morning. So glad its Friday. It was a challenge having a five day week after a few weeks at home. Today is my last day of pureed and then I start on soft foods. I'm not really hungry and food doesn't seem to taste as good, but still it would be nice to be able to move to less frequent eating. Logistically, it is a challenge to be eating every two hours or so. Also today I am supposed to take my tape strips off.

Not a lot of plans for the weekend, I have a list of about 4 or 5 small errands to do. I may go for an extra long walk in a new area to get a little variety.

QOTD: I hired a service to decorate our house for the holidays. We used to do it ourselves but the last few years we haven't got around to it and we end up looking like the Grinch.

Breakfast: Cottage cheese

Snack; Greek yogurt

Lunch: Premier

Snack: Greek yogurt, SF popsicle or SF Jello

Dinner: Probably will drink one of the Ensure drinks that i brought home from the hospital with PB Fit

Good morning. Hoping the hurricane will slow down before it gets to landfall. I've been waking up really early the last few days. It would be a great time to go to the gym once I am cleared. Although going out in the winter months at 5:00 will be a challenge.

QOTD: I love to ride the Expresso bikes at the gym 5 days a week. I can track how far I go online and they have weekly and monthly challenges. Also usually lift weights once a week but just on the Cyber machines. For now, though i'm just walking.

Breakfast: Cottage cheese

Snack: Ricotta

Lunch: Premier

Snack: SF Jello or Popsicle, Cottage cheese or Ricotta

Dinner: Broth,half Premier

Have a great day, its almost Friday.

Good morning everybody. I was able to get enough protein from my pureed foods yesterday that I only had 1 and 1/2 Premiers. I'm working from home today just to break up my first week back. I told my assistant about my surgery yesterday so she knows not to get me lunches at our weekly meetings. I think it will be more convenient for me if certain people know. On the other hand, I don't want to talk to 50 people a day about it either. So taking it slowly.

QOTD: Usually just rest and liquids.

Breakfast: Ricotta

Snack: Greek Yogurt

Lunch Premier

Snack: Cottage cheese, SF popsicle

Dinner: Broth and 1/2 Premier

Good morning all. Up early today but I'm sure i will still get distracted and manage to be just in time for work despite that. My first day back at work seemed to go pretty smoothly. I'm making an effort to take the train so that I don't have to drive home if i'm tired. Also, the traffic here is brutal.

Good morning all. I need to keep my 14 year old from going back to bed this morning while my wife is at tennis. Otherwise he will sleep all day, stay up all night and say he doesn't feel well tomorrow morning when its time to go to school. UGGH.

Other than that I think we are going to go to the Outdoor store to see if they have a clearance sale on patio or porch furniture. We won't get anything unless they have a real good deal, but we will see.

QOTD: Now matter how lazy I am I cannot resist writing lists in my Data Book or crossing off things that are completed

Good morning. It doesn't really feel like the weekend since I can't go to the gym or work around the house, but its still good to know that nobody is trying to call me for work. Day 1 of pureed went good, I had some cottage cheese and some greek yogurt. i'm not close to getting down to one Premier though.

QOTD: When I was asked this question as a young adult I answered "farmer" but didn't know why. The response that I received was that it was because I was so introverted. That's probably pretty accurate.

Good morning. I'm going to the Nurse Practitioner for my one week follow up today. Today's office location is 40 miles from my house so hopefully we won't have many more appointments at this facility. Later I will try some pureed foods. Otherwise some light working and I'm sure we will be watching tennis tonight.

QOTD: We have been on cruises and always enjoyed them. With our children we have always gone on Royal Caribbean. A few tips (1) pack in soft sided luggage if you can so they can be rolled up and won't take up your whole stateroom (2) you don't spend very much time in your stateroom so I would prefer to spend on activities (3) make sure that you get an International data plan or turn off cellular data so you don't get a shocking cell phone bill when you return. These may be particular to our family but: 1) its shocking how much foot odor two teenage boys can put into a small stateroom, and 2) the younger children never want to go to the kids activities when they can cling to their parents instead.

Breakfast - Premier

Lunch - cottage cheese

Snack - cottage cheese

Dinner - Premier

Its raining hard here in Chicago so hopefully the New England/New York folks will be getting some relief from the heat in the next few days. i guess a mixed blessing to have a rainy weekend but it sounds pretty hot out East. Today I have to go and get bloodwork for my one week appointment tomorrow.

This is my last day of full liquids. Tomorrow starts the pureed phase. I'm nervous to be honest. Liquids has gone smoothly, but I don't know what to expect when i start trying pureed.
