Got a date......
If the little guy doesn't decide to put in an appearance on his own, he will be here on May 1. I received a call from my OB's office today and they have scheduled my induction. I have to be at Baptist next Wed, 4/30 at MIDNIGHT! Crazy, huh?!?! Anyway, the nurse said they would probably hook me up to monitors, get me an iv and then probably let me sleep for a few hours and then start the induction early in the am. That's plan, unless he decides to come out and play on his own.

Don't be too surprised if the little guy makes a grand appearance on his own. Then again he may not..... He just might be stubborn and dig his heels down and come out against his will fighting, kicking and screaming the entire time...
And why wouldn't he... This little guy is in a great place, it is all he knows and he likes it in the comfortable womb...The space belongs all to him, he does not have to share....He is connected to a constant feeding and nutrition tube that no one is charging him for like oh lets say paying a price for a buffet. He does not have to prove anything to anyone in there... There is no one in there telling him that they are angry with him for somereason that he can not find why.... There is no one in that cozy place telling him that he is a subhuman cause he didn't get quite enough of the brains they were handing out one day and that other folks are better than him cause they said so.....LOL
Umm I dunno, I think I am gonna vote for the little guy to take all the time that he needs....... Hugs to you Elena.....

If I'd known I would deliver that day, I would have put myself down for challenge loss!!! Oh well! Will be gearing up for that soon after he gets here.

It is so hard to believe that you are already due, well I know you can't, but for me it is hard to believe, it just seems like yesterday when you told me!!!! LOL
I am sorry I did not make the shower, because I was at the Walk from Obesity Clothing Sale, but how did it turn out??? Inquiring minds want to know what all you got!! Tell me, Tell Me!!

No Sheila, it doesn't feel like yesterday!!! I'm ready to be un-pregnant. lol I know ya'll were busy Saturday. Not a very big turn out, Misty and Juanita were here and three girls from the hospital. It was nice though. Misty got me the sling carrier I had registered for. Juanita got me a box of Pooh onesies and socks and a brag book. The two girls who gave me the shower got me a car seat. Another girl from work got me a bath tub and toiletries for baby. Still have a few things that I HAVE to get, and a lot of things that I'd like to get! lol I see you won't be at the dinner club, but I hope to see you soon. I guess the latest would be next Thursday or Friday. lol You will be on my list of people to call when he's here. Take care ~~Elena

Whoo hoo. That has to be a relief to have an ending date in sight. Now you can stop vacuming in heels and drinking pickle juice and castor oil! haha. Midnight!! That is crazy. But of course if you are anything like me - sleep does not come easy these days anyway so you will probably be awake then regardless. I can't wait to hear the great news that you are finally able to hold your baby boy in your arms.
