Date Scheduled

 Hi all--

I was new to the board back around the first of the year hoping to be banded during spring break (I'm a teacher).  It didn't get all worked out in time, so now I'm waiting for summer vacation.  I've changed Dr.'s, now Craig Ferrara, rather than Adam Smith (they are in the same office) because Dr. Smith doesn't work at the hospital that my insurance covers.  ANYWAY, I'm all set for June 7th.  I'm having a huge range of emotions about it from "Have I lost my mind?!" to "Hurry up, I'm excited!"  

I've stayed away from the board because I was so frustrated with the whole process--mostly with my insurance co. and the Dr's. office (it was their fault--they "misplaced" my paperwork and didn't get it sent in until 6 weeks after they told me it was sent! ) but now things seem to be in place and moving forward!

Glad to be back and look forward to getting to know everyone!

 

Congratulations Amanda.  Good luck oin your surgery.  How exciting for it to be only one month away!

Good luck on your journey, Amanda! We are keeping a seat warm for you on the loser's bench!

 Amanda....congrats on your surgery date !!!!  Sorry the doc's office didn't do as they said...but hey things like that happens.   The main thing is now you have your date and you are about to start your journey.   Remember to stay encouraged and try to attend as many support groups as you can.  That really helps keep you encouraged on your journey and keep your mind where it should be.   We will be looking for successful updates from you in the future.    Good luck !!!

Well, I am glad that you are having your surgery, Dr Adam Smith is the one that placed my band, but Dr Ferrera did most of my fills. I love both of the Dr's, you will be in good hands.
