Counseling Provider - *** Update ****
GOD IS JUST SO AMAZING SOMETIMES.................The life coach counselor that is a specialist in the post bariatric counseling is INDEED on my group health plan..........she apparently didn't know that..............She does now because I informed her................she has been since April 2004...........
I have up to 999 visits that I can use and with only a $40 copay...........but she was willing to work with me because she does a lot of work w/Baylor patients, and if I couldn't cannot get covered by my plan, was only gonna charge $50 for a session (half her normal rate).
Wish me luck / well - whatever that I can learn to open up and express or even talk about whats eating me - or to find out what is eating at me.......

This new "friend" that I have had for the past 4-5 weeks has really opened me up and made me think about things I never have thought about or taken the time ( married to my jobs) to realize....
I'm scared to death..............but whatever will be - will be.
I'll be dealing with alot of the issues that bother me the most when I go to ND in 2 weeks - so maybe that will get me over that child hood "hump" that I've been NOT dealing with........
The teasing and taunting that I dealt with or (that parents didn't know to deal with -back in the 80's) that they now call "BULLYING".....which is a dangerous thing and kids are killing themselves over stuff like that.....................I want to see some of the kids as "adults" now to see how they treat those of us who they bullied in their teen years.........ought to be interesting........
NOW I DON'T HAVE TO BE AFRAID AND I CAN SAY WHAT I WANT TO AS AN ADULT without getting into trouble............

Phyllis, I had many of these same issues as a kid and of course NEVER told my family. What is really amasing is seeing these people as adults after so many years, many through tragedies in their own lives have become truly wonderful adults. there is that percentage that have styed lil a holes but most of them grow out of the adolesent and teenage obnoxiousness!! Go with an open mind and you may leave with new friends!! I have found all kinds of new friends and one was one of the meanest!

Congratulations Phyllis on the councilor !!! As for the bullying from school.....I too am going to go proudly to my next HS reunion in a couple of years ( my 40th...man that makes me sound OLD ) LOL and face adults that also made fun of me as a HS student. I hurts us deep into our souls and these stupid kids ( at the time ) have no idea how the teasing and bullying as you are calling it affect our self esteem and our lives as adults. Pray for them before you go Phyllis.....God can cause miracles to happen. Just like he can heal us of a lifetime of hurts.
