Moody Monday WLS Express!
WOOOOHOOOO for Monday! I'm up and at 'em but on the couch, waiting for the dentist office to open, I think I've got a few hours to go, LOL I have an appt this afternoon to get my new crown put on, but then yesterday afternoon I lost part of one of the teeth that he put a new filling in last month... so I'm betting it's going to need a crown too, dagnabit!
Prayers are going up for all that need them!
Elton Johns' Don't Go Breaking My Heart is up on the playlist, so everybody get up and get moving!
Don't go breaking my heart
I couldn't if I tried
Honey if I get restless
Baby you're not that kind
Don't go breaking my heart
You take the weight off me
Honey when you knock on my door
I gave you my key
Nobody knows it
When I was down
I was your clown
Nobody knows it
Right from the start
I gave you my heart
I gave you my heart
So don't go breaking my heart
I won't go breaking your heart
Don't go breaking my heart
And nobody told us
`Cause nobody showed us
And now it's up to us babe
I think we can make it
So don't misunderstand me
You put the light in my life
You put the sparks to the flame
I've got your heart in my sights
Ya'll have a great day my friends!

Mom and Dad leave today for San Antonio for a week and then they'll head back to PA after that. We gave Dad his father's day present yesterday. I'm so tired because we stayed up late each night at my sister's to spend time with them, but it was totally worth it. Now its back to the work week. I loved taking 2 days off last week.
We are looking at me getting a bike so Bryan and I can go bike riding for exercise. Walking is still not an option because of my foot but I figured the bike might be easier on my foot.
I hope everyone has a great day today!
Good morning. Up and at 'em for my last week of work. Yeah!!!
I work from 6:30 until 4 today w/ a 30 min. lunch. I'd rather go in early and have a short lunch than stay until 5:00 p.m.
I have to finish hemming my mom's dress for my niece's wedding today. Tomorrow's payday for me, so have to pay bills when I get home and cook supper. That's about all that's on the agenda.
Prayers for Tara and all others who need them.

So I start this post with a question....Why am I 'able' to eat so much at 6 months out? I completly feel that I am having to govern myself much more then just having the 'tool' tell me when I'm full. The biggest example of this was the fact that last weekend I ate not 1 but 3 small pork chops as well as a slew of grilled vegatables. I'm guessing I tried this to see if I could eat that much simply because I had very little to eat that day and I was 'hungrey.' After last weekend I stayed protein heavy and didn't eat more then little portions. However, I still felt last week that I would be able to eat more if I would just have more on the plate. I have been embarrassed to ask the mighty TMB this question as it shows that I did try and did succeed at eating a lot. I finally called Tallie (Dr. Green's nurse) on Friday afternoon and because she was on the way out of the door she told me to do strictly liquids over the weekend and if I still was able to eat whatever quanity I wanted on Monday then to call her back.
Yes I understand that the small pouch is just a tool, but should I be able to eat everything I can if I wanted at only SIX MONTHS OUT?
Thanks in advance for the great help you all provide.
Chris
1) Are you drinking within 30 min before you eat.? A dry pouch holds food and fills up faster than a wet pouch.
2)Drinking while you eat? That flushed food through.
3)are you eating slowly and chewing well and eating for no more than 30 min? That is the time limit my bariatric co-ordinator gave us. She is also a very successful RNYer. Meal cannot last mor than 30 min.
4) Are you eating eat with a gravy or sauce that would help it "slide" through?? Just a thought
Never ever be afraid or embaressed to ask a question here . we have seen it all and most of us have done it all!! We love ya Chris and are sooo proud of how far you have come!!
Meggie
1. See my 'booklet' from Plaza stated to not drink during or 30 minutes after we ate. I have always just continued drinking right up until the food hits the table. I will stop this practice immediatly (and fuss at our BC.)
2. Never drink while I eat. This was hard to do pre surgery, but at least I got used to it then.
3. Nah, I tend to eat rather quickly and yes I'm aware this is not the best way. I will try and slow down a bit more, but really, should this mean the 'pouch' is so streched out it doesn't seem to be working anymore?
4. I don't eat sauce or gravy any more then normal. Like if the dish has it yes I eat a bit, but no I don't add it to everything I eat.
Thanks for the questions. I will keep looking troughout the day for more questions to answer for everyone!!

Meggie gave you EXCELLENT advice (as always) I really dont have anything to add to that other than its also a good thing you called Dr. Green's nurse as well. I would also suggest following up with them just as pre-caution to double check for any possible issues.
Also, Meggie's advice is spot on!.. Definately follow it as it is correct..
Wishing you the best and keep us posted.
Also, congrats on the pool!!!!!
