Moody Monday WLS Express!
My feel good post of the day would be the excitement of getting in THE POOL Friday - Sunday every night after 11pm at my apartment. The deal is, I'm much stronger on the cane and getting down stairs. My mom reminded me of the stairs to enter our apartment pool. I had the guts to try it AND IT WORKED!! How awesome is that???? I took laps (walking/hopping) around the pool all three nights. I looked up water aerobics online but I'm thinking just the laps will be fine for now. The huge pannis is my only issue in that it acts as a floatation device for probably something that would be much heavier, and if I don't hold it down
I don't know where it and I would float to! Anyway I just had to share!!!!
Have a great week everone!

Morning all! I'm getting ready to turn on the work computer and start earning my keep. If you are on FB, you know we're dealing with car issues again. Jeff's car is dead, and requires a $900 computer chip to fix it. So we're deep into figuring out what we're going to do with our cars. Thought we had a plan till last night, and there may be other options. LOL, one thing I know is that it will all work out one way or the other.
I had a good weekend, despite the car drama. Saturday I got the house cleaned up, baked some yummy stuff and then we had a guys/girls night. Guys came over and played on computers and the girls went shopping. Woohoo!! It was lots of fun, but the best thing was seeing that all the guys had a good time. Yesterday was church and lunch with the in-laws. My FIL is doing better from his hip replacement. He came to church and out to lunch, though I think lunch was a bit too much for him. It was good to see him out and around though. Then last night we started up the Scrabble wars again. I'm happy to report that I beat Jeff soundly (this time anyway), and I believe we're on for a rematch next week.
Hope everyone has a fantastic day. If you can, say some prayers for my Dad. He's having an angioplasty done right now to see if there is a blockage, and if so he'll have a stint put in. Hoping they don't find anything, but I'm glad he's getting it done just in case.

There are two non-chrysler vehicles being sold in my neighborhood as we speak. One is a Mazda Protege 5 Wagon, and the other is a Rav 4. I'm fairly sure the Protege could be negotiated down to where you want it if you're interested. 113K miles, yellow, runs fine. I don't know anything about the rav 4, but could investigate for you..

I'll keep that in mind. We're not quite ready to buy yet (have to get financing and figure out trade in value on the Cruiser first). We're going to deal with one car at a time to reduce the stress. First, figure out what to do with the Concorde, then decide on the Cruiser. Someone at our church apparently thinks they might be able to "fix" the computer in the Concorde, but I don't know any details yet, so I'm not sure what that will turn into. I'll let you know though! Thanks!
My new mantra... No Chrysler's....

Good Morning Everyone!
Back on the Train, and going to weightlossland!! I am pre-op awaiting my surgery date. I am waiting because I still need to take the last 10 lbs off. This has been so hard to do. I get motivated and them lose it. I used to have a walking buddy, but she started working in the evening and she works during the day. Boy, what we do just to pay our bills. I have been so stressed, depressed and tired lately that I have started to crave pickles. Now I do not begin to understand why, but I am sure there is a reason. I drink my water, take my vitamins, and meds and still crave pickles. The obivous answer would be "I'm pregnant", only you have to have sex to do that and I have been boyfriend free for 4 years now and pre-menopausal.(not even the one night stands) I sure hope my doc can give me a better answer.
Have a blessed day!

I had a GREAT weekend so to speak..........
WTG Chris - keep up that motivation - yes WATER excercise is much much easier on us and with great results too...............Keep up the good practices.......
Remember - too what I found out the past couple of days is after eating GREAT DENSE protein - it does take much less food to get full. I too struggle with issues that I feel that I'm eating more than I need or should be eating.........you are NOT alone in that matter at all...
I made dinner last night for brother, daughter and David.........make chicken, broc/caul, mac & cheese and spinach.......was full after about 6-8 bites...of course - I had to eat 3-4 bites of mac and cheese FIRST !!
but realized after that - I concentrated on the OVERCOOKED chicken (cooked it too long) and got really full after about 4 bites of that. I was good to hear David ask " You are full already? "......lol. That feels good...........silly - I know......................
As for the overcooked chicken that daughter didn't care for - got chopped up and chopped up pickles and added some mayo and will have chicken salad for lunches one day this week...:)
There was a reason for that !! lol Just kidding...
Well - gotta get back to work...
Hugs to all who need them, want them...................drink plenty of fluids and stay hydrated....its hot out there....
Vacation starts next Wed for me (6-23)......heading to ND and getting really excited.....
Cross training starts for various co-workers this week and looking forward to that....
MAKE IT A GREAT DAY ! I KNOW THAT I WILL..
p.s. - anyone else stuggling with allergies in the past couple of days with the winds we've had lately? WOW mine are running rampant today.........:(

- Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose. Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email. I'll answer it as soon as possible.
