This just in...
An update on the surgery:It's been over a year since I've seen a cardiologist, so I have to go see one and get a clearance. I go see him on the 30th.The one I saw in the past is on LOA, so I've found another. I hope he says yes!And since I lost some weight, then put it back on, Dr. Green's nurse suggested I have my PCP write a letter to send to Medicare as to why it's almost impossible for me to lose weight and keep it off. I took care of this today, now it's up to her to get it over to the surgeon'soffice. STAT!!! I'd love to grab the Medicare ppl by the whatevers and explain to them how absurd it is to require someone who's lost weight in the past, then regained it plus, plus, to lose weight SO THEY CAN HAVE WEIGHTLOSS SURGERY!!!!!!!!Once again there's our gov't for you!
Is it me or is it normal for the powers that be, to keep finding things you need to do to try our patience?

Eye on the prize my friend. We all had to jump through the hoops you are facing. Some in different ways, but hoops none the less.
The docs are all on your side, and you will get there. You are a stong person and it will all be worth it in the end.

thank you for the encouragement.
How are you both doing? How is that eye, Que?
I can't wait to join you at Rise and Shine and Sat dinners. Save a place for me!
My PCP is very excited about this surgery, so that makes me happy.
Do you guys know of any one that has had a baby and has baby food jars to spare?
I'm thinking that would be a good way to start keeping my food at first.
Thanks again,
Sue

Sue,
i jumped thru about 97,000 hoops (or so it seemed), fought my insurance for over 3 years, worked for a hospital that DID THE SURGERIES (but didnt cover it for their employees) So girl, just do all the crap they are asking for and thank GOD you have a way for it to be paid for. Lemme tell you, writing that check for over $20,000 wasnt easy. I was thankful i FINALLY found a way, and i dont regret it, but at least you have a way to get it done. Many people here have died trying to figure out that very thing.
You can do it, just keep your eye on the prize.. trust me, its worth it!
