Mine is all paid for, now just saving up "fun" money. I haven't booked any excursions, guess I'll fly by the seat of my pants for that. I can't wait!

Did you hear that next year Carnival is changing the ships that cruise out of Galveston? It sounds like one of them is much larger and fancier.

If I like my first cruise,  I'm considering booking another - maybe for my 60th birthday next February.

LYNNE-I'm paying the last of the balance this next week, and am scheduled to work this weekend, with an agency, for spending money. We haven't booked any excursions yet-am waiting for advice from the EXPERTS. I'm thinking I'd pretty much be happy with a deck chair/pool/book/beach, but I'm sure my DH will want to go play with the other boys

Am I excited???????????????????????

OH YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not going on the cruise since it's after school cranks up and I can't take off then.  I have been on that same cruise and I suggest taking an excursion in Cozumel.  If not, you will not be surrounded by beaches, but the ocean and docks and pretty much the shops sitting at the docks.  They are nice, but the beaches you get to go to on  the excursions are absolutely breathtaking and you won't see them if you don't spend a little money booking an excursion.

When we went 4 years ago, we did the snorkeling and Jeep Off-Road excursion.  First they met us at the dock and took us to a pool to practice snorkeling and hear a short talk about us, then walked us across the street to the ocean and we snorkeled for an hour or so.  We then loaded into 4 wheel drive jeeps (one of your party has to be able to drive a standard...4 people can fit in each Jeep) and we drove a long way around the island of Cozumel and went to an absolutely gorgeous beach.  There was a huge buffet included and the wonderful beach and water.  We stayed there 2-3 hours and then went back to the ship via the "Pee Pee Station"...a souvenir shop/bathroom stop.  It was great.  It was about $100 each and well worth the money.  We still had some time in the shops when we got back to board the ship.  There are a lot of great excursions you can book.

when you get it all figured out - tell me cuz i'm another virgin.  i think I would be thrilled to just explore the ship.  But there has to be something good for an excursion.

Yes Amanda and I are ready...all paid for including tips......

just saving up "fun" money. I haven't booked any excursions, guess I'll fly by the seat of my pants for that. I can't wait!    US TOO !!

I'm just gonna go from ship to shore, chair to chair and just enjoy the sandy beaches and the cruise ship..............There is one excursion I'd like to do - but I just can't justify the $94  something like that -  Dune Buggy rides................e\

After I get back from ND - its back to the old grindstone to save for cruise and Houston OH conference...

Passcards have been all received for us...............
