Saltgrass Steakhouse

Stopped at the Saltgrass in Mesquite on the way home from picking up Norma at DFW. Under appetizers on the menu was "Beef Enchroache" Turns out it is six small pieces of beef tenderloin wrapped in bacon and jalapenos, grilled and served with BBQ sauce and grilled onions. We scrapped the jalapenos and had a few fries subbed out for the grilled onions. BINGO! It was quite tasty and we both had enough to eat for $7.99 plus tax!

I've had that before at Saltgrass and it is wonderful and a great price...especially for 2!

I love those with the grilled onions.. i always scrap the jalapenos too! glad yall enjoyed. Is my pie ready yet? lol

Yumm !!!! Sounds so good. Although I would have eaten the jalapenos. Love those things. I will have to go to Saltgrass sometimes and try that. I have never eaten there and there is one not too far from me. Hope you and Norma have a wonderful visit !!!

Vivian,
you should try them sometime.. they really are yummy and very tender. I love jalapenos myself but they dont always like me since surgery so i have to be careful. Its a nice 'meal' for us and cheap too!

Thanks Liz....I will have to give it a try. Steak is my favorite meat these days. It never disagrees with my pouch.
