Prayer Request
As many of you all already know - I've been experiencing some wierd stuff ( I know for me that is not a difficult task) - lo......but all kidding aside - have been having multiple episodes of just "falling asleep" for no reason at various times - I really don't feel tired either......I've been dizzy and well - ended up in the ER while on vacation in North Dakota a few weeks ago......with that they diagnosed me with vertigo -
When the doc came into the room - she asked me what I was here for - I told her that there wasn't enough spacing in the reason codes for the Diagnosis coding area for everything...... she just laughed.....and then I went on to explain everything.
The various episodes of vertigo continue daily - off an on and so I feel that it was something other than "vertigo.........
When the burry vision started this week - I shucked it off on the need for new contacts, bifocals, but then added with the continued dizziness and stiff neck and headache - decided that I really wasn't and hadn't been feeling all that well - (ignored it and just kept on going on and I still am ) haven't missed work at job #1 nor job#2 because we are short-handed as it is with vacations and other co-workers already out on medical leave for various reasons..
I went to the doctor yesterday............lots of lab work and other work and I sit at work waiting on a phone call cuz doc wants me to get in TODAY tfor a brain / Head CT scan and an ultrasound in the neck area..she thinks that she heard "echo" or hollow sounds and wants to make sure that everything is okay................
She prescribed muscle relaxer and a pain med (non-narcotic) for various pains in my left arm and back - shoulder to help alleviate that...............
Seems as though it was 330 in the afternoon when I weighed in and the scale was down 1 lbs - which means - maybe 2-3 lbs since it was LATE in the afternoon..
All of this - I just haven't felt like eating much - nothing tastes good and nothing smells good either.......
I'll keep you all advise.......HOpefully I can get in somewhere today for the scans because being on pins and needles isn't fun either................

Have the doctors check your optic nerve and vestibular system. Both could cause vertigo and a combination of some of your other symptoms. ie- have them check for an ear infection, hearing loss, and do a tympanogram- this is all ear stuff. Plus have them check that your optic nerve is online. If nothing comes back on your CT/MRI please follow up with an EENT and then a neurologist. You should not have to feel bad. If they can't come up with a diagnosis right away then make them start ruling things out until something makes sense.
