Morning! I woke up wide awake this morning, which is odd because I was up late last night. I'm sure it will hit me this afternoon.

Prayers for Jenn (azurepenguin) today as she has her surgery. I hope it goes well and that you are feeling better soon.

Gina- are you still in boot camp?

Karla- any interesting first week stories? How are all the teachers on this board faring this week? Chris is doing okay but having trouble adjusting to getting things together when the bell rings and hurrying to his next class. He is a bit stressed about it, but I think he'll adjust. Its just a new thing to learn. Chris is not one to be rushed! Now, slowly the teachers are sending home their school supply lists so that this weekend we can get everything for him.

I am seeing the acupuncturist this morning. I am feeling hopeful because the nerve pain is lessened, so I'll keep going. The nerve pain was really driving me insane.

Good morning! Gotta make this quick-running late already, but didn't want to miss the train agin today.

ALISSA-nope-no boot camp since I got out of bed August 12th and my back decided not to "work right" all of a sudden. have been cleared to start 'easy walking", so started that last night. so far, so good. Who'd have thunk I'd MISS going to a 6am torture session???

All about the same in my world. My Chris is having some "growing pains" of his own, and it's breakig my heart, but I have to let him work it out. He chose to screw off last year and not get college apps, etc done, so now his friends are all leaving for college and he's having trouble even getting enrolled in Community College, due to his procrastination, etc. He is spoiled, and it's his mama's fault, but now HE has to work it out. His mood has been HORRIBLE and he is VERY hard to live with. Prayers for all of us would be greatly appreciated.

Okay--time to go cook the donuts--LOVE Y'ALL !!!

Sorry things are rough for Chris. I just took an application on a young gal in the same situation and her mother was sitting there berating her for not getting things done to get into college. It didn't help the situation any. So good for you for letting him work it out on his own.

((((((((((((((((((((((huggsss)))))))))))))))))))))))  OH - HOW I FEEL YOUR PAIN !!       AMANDA IS THE SAME WAY !!   ....she failed all of her classes last semester - so she has to retake them - but won't go fulltime -  she is going pt.......and working 30 hours pt.....:"she just can't handle FT school too" she says.......

Good morning.  No interesting stories to tell so far this week Alissa, which is a good thing!

This weekend I plan on staying home and cleaning house and resting and will do my normal church routine on Sunday.  At some pt. I may have to meet Ben to in Huntsville to give him a textbook that came in yesterday after he left.

Yes, Gina..you got that right...Don gives me the countdown every morning...right now as it stands, it is three sleeps and a wake up...   But I will tell you this...I am so ready for a week just the two of us.

well as you know i will be heading to beaumont again for what im praying hard for will be a funeral.  My friend is still is hospice and suffering horribly (not due to the efforts of hospice at all). GINA was right (as usual dammit!) they nurses are surpurb as is all of the staff at the facility.  He is on some MAJOR and i do mean MAJOR continuous pain meds and yet he has asked for more pain meds, and he is so not the type to ask for stuff.  I just so hate for him to be in that type of pain. 
He definately had his last 'hurrah' as they say as he has had literally 100's of visitors and phone calls over the last few weeks and has been able to visit with them.. but now its time for him to go home.  
So thats my 'fun' plans for the weekend. Again, please join me that by the time i get there, its for his funeral....

Sorry to be a 'downer'.. just needed to get that out. Normally this type of stuff doesnt bother me at all, but this type of cancer has disfigured his face and head severely so will definately be a closed casket funeral.  ugh!
