low iron

Diane...I order the Bariatric Advantage chewable iron and take one a day and I also do iron shots instead of iron infusion once every couple of weeks.  My pcp wrote the prescription for iron and a friend gives them to me so I don't have to pay my pcp for them.  I prescription mail order the iron vials.  It raised my iron a lot and helps keep it up.  I think it's less drastic than an iron infusion and probably cheaper than a hospital visit for the infusion.

I've been doing shots for 3 years now as has the friend that gives then to me.  Her husband gives her shots to her.

I have a dumb question to pose. If you are not losing blood, how does a woman become Iron deficient? Or would they even? Just curious - mine came back fine, but just wondering, thanks!

hi diane, i havent been aroud much but i did have iron infusions for over a year and i am real honest that i did not take my vitamins for over a year and half.... and believe me i paid for it by ending up in the hospital twice not knowing who or where i was...

i am now on baritatric advantage and a b 12 shot every week along with multi vitamin....

please get it under control early i can tell you some horror stories.... just from my own expeirence.... no one else...

i showed the pasadena group my last results now i am low on vitamin d and my doctor wants me in the sun with no sun screen plus the 50k units of vitamin d prescription only.... have to do more blood work in 2 months....

please take the vitamins... memory loss and off balance and not knowing who you are - are very scary...
