Prayers for a TX OH girl
Hey Fellow Texans!
Here is an update on one of our own. Jenn / azurepenguin (http://www.obesityhelp.com/member/azurepenguin/) from the Dallas/Fort Worth area had a hernia revision this morning. She is a frequent poster here on the forums.
Her husband Clint just called me. She was in surgery 3 hours... longer than expected. They had to open her up. Her first RNY was lap in October 2009.
It appears the hernia was much more than what they expected and they had to cut and re-attach the pouch? Something like this?
She is very upset to get the nasogastric tube, drain tube and open procedure done, but according to husband she is looking good. She is blaming herself... but as I told her sweet husband this is the most common complication.
My heart is with her.... please say a prayer for one of our girls during this time.

I was just posting on her thread about the time change. Bless her....sounds like things got a little hinky! Sure am glad to hear she's doing OK. Tell her I'm keeping her in my prayers and to check in when she can.

Oh Wow...thanks for posting this Penny. I hate to hear she had surgical complications and had to have it open. I hope her recovery goes well. I know it will be harder for her now. Poor thing...

Penny......THANK YOU SO MUCH for updating us on Jenn. I have been so worried since I hadn't seen a update on her. Tell her if you talk to her or Clint that she will be in our prayers here on the TMB. She is strong and young and she will bounce back although now it will be starting over again from square one with her RNY. Thanks again for the update and tell her I am thinking about her.
