Houston Conference Codes

Yvonne, I apologize that this has turned into something bigger than it should have... like i posted to maryellen and becky - lets support the local groups - i probably put too much info out there about the kick back part but hey you know me i am going to be honest....

no ones life is rainbows and unicorns, etc what ever else was said..... as the texas group we should support each other

you know i know how much you do and i appreciate it with all my heart.... thank you.....

if this continues to get ugly i will have the complete thread down....

Becky... believe me i didnt not start this as drama it has just turned into that.... like i said in my post support the local support groups - i dont get on here much because of time and all the drama... i wanted the texas people to support the texas groups and i have posted to maryellen also post all around the other states... let the local support group members take care of texas even the doctors that have given so much time and donated surgeries...

lets not aruge - and never be afraid to speak your mind believe me you see i am not afraid to do that...

and that was a cheap shot at yvonne - believe me yvonne does more than anyone i know for OH and every board - she promotes OH, the texas people, stephanie and her jewelry, sean and being such a wonderful help with anything he is asked to do.... she does the videos on her own time and money....

sorry but be fair.... yes we are all different and have strong personalities and believe what and who we believe in..  i just wanted us to help the other texas people out....

i hope we are still cool...

Lovely, now I get to be the bad guy.  Whatever, I had no cheap shots. Debra, I was supporting your frustration, but obviously, that didn't work.

A question was asked about discounts and kickbacks  and not answered.  All there was to it.

support group leaders are wonderful and go far above and beyond. Yvonne does more than anyone I know and always has.  I appreciate her more than anyone knows, but I suppose it's irrelevant.

Apologies all around.  Now can't we all just get along?  Isn't that how it's supposed to be? I'm going to go tape my fingers shut and go deal with some real drama in the real world.

becky you know i love you - i just posted cause its not fair that someone (anyone) from outside of texas comes in and wants to post their codes - that was my point... i dont even know who are all support group leaders any more....

we do get along and you know that.... its like a family we wont always agree but we are there for each other....

you know this board has gone through its share of ups and downs.... and we would help each other out again....

I'm going to try to clarify some of what I was attempting to say again.  According to the Obesity Help T.O.S. (terms of service) any support group leader may post their discount code in their signature on any forum.  Since this is probably going to be one of the largest events (maybe ever) there will probably be many support group leaders posting on the Texas Board.  I do think we should support our Texas leaders. 
Let me repeat that.

We can however be welcoming of the other support group leaders and not assume things about why they are posting.   Some of these leaders are people just like the ones you love and respect on this board.  Some of them spend their own money to have a little get together to meet other members and leaders.  They all give of their time and support their groups.  OH gives them a code to be used anywhere and if it was against the rules they wouldn't be allowed to use the codes here.  No doubt there will be more posting their codes and I hope we can respectfully welcome them and then use whichever code you wish.

I have no doubt that the lady from NY is a very nice lady and a good support group leader but I do question her motives for posting on the TMB.  She has never posted on either the Ohio or Texas boards until the conferences were announced.  Since then she has posted nearly everyday on both boards.  Now that the Ohio one is over, she hasn't been back~coincidence?  You tell me.

One other correction- I am NOT a support group leader and I do not have a code.  However, for anyone that's interested, I DID post on the LA board, asking for them to join us in Houston because I value what these conferences offer people.  I am grateful to OH for all it has given me~not for any other reason. 

Also I consider this to be a completely different thing than me selling jewelry or Donna selling Scentsy at a conference.  For one thing I have to pay a vendor fee, my own transportation and hotel fees and I sell a product.  Completely different then posting just to get a kick-back.

I haven't been on here for a while but I can see things have not changed......I would say I probably won't be attending this convention.  Hope ya'll enjoy it.

I wish you would reconsider.  This may be the biggest event yet.  I know that out of the 300 plus that attended Cincinnati there was not one complaint.  Everyone left on a high that cannot be described.  It was educational and great fun.  Here's some of the videos.  Great education and great inspiration.
