Just Wondering....
What happens if pills are swallowed whole? I was told by one of my doctors partners on Friday to start taking 1/2 of the lasix and klor-kon pills to help control the swelling, but it is not working. I will be calling again today, but still don't understand why I am swelling. I am doing everything I am supposed to and drinking 80 oz of water. I just don't understand.
If you swallow pills whole as newly post op as you are there is a chance if the pills are large that they can get stuck. I wish I had answers for you as far as the swelling goes. Praying for you sweetie that they will get to the bottom of it and clear that issue up for you.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE follow your doctor order TO THE LETTER!!!! Diuretics (like Lasix) can be very hard on the heart and MUST be closely monitored. As for swallowing, if they are too big, crush and mix with yogurt-be careful of mixing with aciditic things, such as juices/applesauce, etc.
