Forest Park Medical Center in Dallas

If you had surgery at Forest Park MC in Dallas tell me what you thought about the hospital?  I'm scheduled for surgery 10/5.

It is very new and clean.  Nurses and aides were wonderful.  They have a hospital bariatric nurse and dr which check on you every day besides your own dr.  They are very geared to bariatric pts.  I was very pleased.

My husband had surgery there last year. It was SO NICE. Just like a posh hotel. There are just a few beds, lots of staff, a doctor that is there full time so you see him 2-4 times during a 24 hour period just to check on you. Its super nice. I spent the night there and the couch/bed for me was comfy. The only thing for visitors is that the cafeteria is only open 2 hours in the morning, 1 1/2 at lunch, and about that at dinner, so you have to pay attention to those times. I ended up going out to eat. Small price to pay for a wonderful facility.

I had surgery May of 2009, back when it was really new.  THE BEST EXPERIENCE IN A HOSPITAL EVER!!!! Amazing staff, clean, high tech, comforting, and everything that I wanted in a hospital.  I later had my gal bladder out at another hospital and it was 10x's as worse of an experience than Forrest Park- deffinatly have it there. Dr. Barker was my doctor too.
