good morning.  Gina and Mel...hope you get rid of your headaches.

I'm up and have to go to my office downtown this morning (don't be picturing downtown Dallas or Houston...tallest thing we have is the water tower) and take some folders to turn in and then I have a dentist check up/cleaning appt. at 8, then off to the HS to work.  At 11:00 I'm supposed to meet a friend for lunch who wanted to take me out to eat.

I plan on walking today after work, then coming home to relax.

HOpe everyone has a great day!

Karla

Hey You Guys!

Trying to finish up paperwork today. It's not due till Friday but I'd like it off my desk TODAY! T/TH are my lighter days as far as kids go so I have a few hours to get something accomplished.

I have a big coffee mug that I reuse all the time for different drinks. I had gotten to where I was going to gas stations/fast food places before work and getting drinks. With my cool mug I can just go to the teachers' lounge and fill my mug with ice and fill it up with water or whatever. This morning I noticed a big hair in it- upon inspection it turned out to be a giant antennae....gross!!! If it weren't my favoritist Minnie Mouse pink mug I'd tra**** but it is, so I am going to take it home and run it through the dishwasher a few hundred times. I might get some bleach and boiling water to it as well. I am beyond grossed out! (I hope the REST of my day gets better!)

Last night the youngest woke up sick at her stomach. I was up a few hours with her poor dad running back and forth asking what kinds of medicine to give her and where I had hidden the said meds. I am sympathetic to a point but when you drink and drink because you think you have a pill stuck in your throat and cause yourself to be sick again I totally don't have tolerance anymore. At that point I refuse to sit in the bathroom with you anymore either. Call me hormonal...ugh!

Chase was about 5 and found a record and asked what kind of CD it was....  you could just see the awestruck look on his poor face. I don't think my kids have ever seen an 8 track either. My parent's van had one and we'd take month long road trips jamming out to Bronco Billy, Neal Sedaka, and Engleburt Humperdink! Then there were dad's favorites- Freddy Fender and John Williams. Between that and the hymns mom would sing I don't know why my poor brother and I didn't hate music! lol Suffice it to say I guess I have a greater appreciation for ALL kinds of music! lol

Kaylee texted last night that her dorm partner has got to go. Besides the girl bringing her dog to the dorm and letting it pee on everything (incuding Kaylee's food and plates, etc), she now has a boyfriend that she gets into physical fights with. Then he spends the night most of the time. She told her RA yesterday about the situation and then something else happened so now she's ready to take it to the next level. I need to call in a bit and let them know that I'm not comfortable with my kid (albeit 18 year old) being in a room where her roomate is getting beat up. If something happens to Kaylee I will fly to Georgia and "fix" it if I have to. She said she's never felt threatened but I know that the room is only like 12x12. I just don't want her in the middle of this mess.

Hope everyone has a great day!
Miss you guys!
Tracey

Morning all!  Not a lot to report here.  I'm enjoying my last week off before I start work again next Tuesday.  I think Natalie and I will take a walk after her next meal to enjoy some of this fall weather.  We took Jeff's car into the shop yesterday and dropped way too much money on it again.  But I have to say, it was another instance of God protecting us.  He noticed (a few days ago) that the steering wheel was vibrating at low speeds and the car was pulling hard to the left.  Of course he didn't mention it to me, I found out myself when I rode in the car.  Turns out those are the indications that the tread was separating from the tire, and we drove to Plano and back like that!  Sheesh!!

I also know what a turn table is!  My FIL has a huge collection of records, and for Christmas we're going to get him a record to MP3 converter so he can listen to them anywhere.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning all!  Yes I can still say good morning cause its before noon.  LOL It's my Friday and all I can say is thank god!  This has been a week from hell and I am so ready for it to be over.  It has actually been a rough couple of weeks but I have 4 days off.  I plan to get some much needed cleaning done tomorrow.  Thursday is my last iron transfusion before I get to recheck my blood work.  I plan to go and get a mani and pedi afterwards to celebrate.  Friday will probably be a little shopping then some much needed friend time that evening.  (Can't wait) Saturday I think Iam going to cook several meals to put n the freezer so I can have good stuff to eat over the next month.  Somewherein that list will be some relaxing as well.  So I am going to tell on myself.  I have been so inactive lately that I think it was Sat or Sun that at work they evacuated us to the stairwell.  They made us walk down 7 flights of stairs.  Notice I said DOWN 7 flights of stairs, not up.  I took the elevator back up.  Over the next few days my calves have hurt so bad.  How sad is that.  Would have never known I used to run.  OMG do I feel like a slug.  So if for no other reason than I am completely embarrassed that I am hurting like this from walking DOWN stairs I plan to start doing something again.  I think I will start with just walking around the block and work my way back into running.  Now to let you all know why I don't exercse anymore.  I promise it is a good excuse but it is still that, an excuse.  I love my morning cuddle time with my man and I don't want to give it up!  Told you it was a good one.  LOL We have been together for over a year.  Living together for almost a year, and I still can't get enough of him.  I just need to get him out walking/running with me.  I think we are going to try bike riding and see how that goes.  Well time to go get ready for work.  I plan to have a great Friday and not let the job get me down.  Make it or fake it a good one!
I'm not perfect but I'm me and that is good enough!

Blake is due in January. As soon as I get released I'd like to get back to exercising. You'd never know I was a runner either! ugh! SOOOOO....my challenge to you....LET'S DO THIS! I would REALLY like to run the Princess Marathon in 2012. I am already so freaked out about weight gain and being pregnant so having a weight loss goal in mind NOW is keeping me sane. I'll meet you in Trophy Club/Southlake/Dallas/etc on weekends like we did before to train when you have a Saturday off. I know that you guys kept me motivated and accountable. I'll need that again, esp with a new baby!

Love and miss you!

I would really like to run it in 2012 as well.  I would have liked to run in this one coming up but just couldn't make money or time off from work, work out.  We are headed to CA for Christmas and that is draining both the funds and the vacation time but I am up for doing it again in 2012.  I too did way better when I had you guys in my corner helping me to stay focused an motivated.  My new schedule working nights and weekends has me pretty disconnected from everyone but I am certainly going to try to make it around more.  I miss you and love you too and can't believe your going to be a mommy again!  I am so excited and maybe just a little jealous (said with much love) for you!
I'm not perfect but I'm me and that is good enough!

Umm, I am here, lol I think my job is trying to kill me, as I have pretty much stalled for the past few weeks, although finally today I lost over a pound.  Ugh.  Plus yes at 6 month mark sooo that on top of it all.

Gonna bug the hubby this weekend to finish my bike so I can go riding since the weather is getting nice again outside, and I need a stress reliever before I go totally nuts.

And turntable, yuppers sure do, used to own a 45 myself and remember when Blockbuster Music sold them.  Hubby has some LP's for the covers and such that we have but no turntable anymore lol.
I have started a blog all of my own for this journey.  Please follow me at www.digitalsheep.org.

I don't consider myself too young or too old but some of my students had to ask me how to use a pager.  THAT made me feel old.  They didn't know what a pager was or how to "page" someone.  Geez.  My sister's 4th grade class was surprised there was a Jack In The Box back when we were kids.
I've been super busy this past week and weekend with an educational workshop I helped put on for operating room professionals.  We had about 130 people show up.  It was a 2 day deal and the paperwork that is involved with it is horrendous!  we had 13 speakers (one had cancelled on me last friday) but we pulled through.  I'm happy it's over woo hoo! I know i posted this on the other forum but it is a great feeling to be done with it.  Trying to catch up on my sleep and put more attention to school (attending and teaching)
